We went out for an Indian meal yesterday so I will be trying extra hard this week to shift some weight. Next weekend we have a family wedding which is never good for weight management. I still don't have my wii set up. I must get someone to do that for me tonight and then I can try to use more energy.

Rosie - over the last four weeks you've lost 7lb, so almost 2lb a week. This is a great achievement ... somewhere between 1lb and 2lb a week is excellent weight loss and much more likely stay off than a mega rate.

Have you thought of weighing fortnightly, then you wouldn't even know that you'd had a week with no loss?

Be proud - you're doing great.

Vanya --- do you want to record a loss for the chart? I'm sorry but I don't know if 146 lbs is a loss or a STS or what?:confused:

    Hello everyone,

The decorating is over for a few weeks again now. We worked hard, and the end result was so worth it. Now I'm not so busy I should be able to pop in here more often.

Rosie - well done with your loss so far, but stick with it, that next couple of lbs will come off bit by bit, and then you'll be through that barrier. I had exactly the same thing, and got a bit defeated by the barrier, and admit I then let go of the reigns for a few weeks. I'm regretting that now, so don't undo all your hard work.

Missy - congratulations on your new PB. Excellent result!

BB - I think you've made a wise decision with your clothing purchases. It's just a number, but the way clothes look can be very significant. How did the silverside beef turn out BTW?

Nyk - well done with not snacking. How about cutting out 1 more thing for the next week, such as a pudding every night, or every other night, and see how that works? Fingers crossed for the jeans!

Bails - great loss! I'm liking the Tibet Diet more and more.

Vixstar - Fantastic result doing your run in 2hrs. What an achievement.

Vix - Your night out sounds lively! I'm sure you burned off a lot of calories on that dance floor though.

    - BK and McD's have the same effect on me too. What on earth is in that food to have such an explosive effect? I think the children have cast iron stomachs to be able to keep it down. Poor you. It's not even a cheat or a treat is it, but more a necessity.

    - Foodfocus is fab! I love it, and it really does help me to keep on track. I'm a dreadful snacker too, so when I am being resolute in my battle to lose I have a rule where I am not allowed to eat between meals, but I also make sure my meals are filling and nutritious. Why not try to stick at something like that for 2 weeks. That way you have a short-term goal to stick with, and it's not an impossible ask, like saying you have to do it forever!

    - I use foodfocus, and my top tips would be to spend a bit of time putting in your own meals, and building up a tailored list of foods/menus. So, for example, I put in my own homemade recipes, such as lasagne, cottage pie, yorkshire puds, bread rolls/loaf, stew, etc. I put in all the ingredients such as 1kg beef, 3 carrots, 1 onion, 1 oxo cube, etc. and then work out a portion size of about 300g to get a calculation of how much my meal portion is. I also weighed everything I ate for a couple of weeks to work out how much my portion sizes were, so I have a meal of 'breakfast' that I click on that is my h/m porridge, with a 45g weight of oats, 2 sweeteners, 1/3 1% milk 2/3 water. It saves time when logging your foods later on. The database is quite comprehensive for most UK s/mkt foods, but if you have something you use that isn't listed, go through the energy values on the side of the packet and log them yourself. Once you've got your tailored list of favourite foods, you can just scan through and click on regular items like the fruit & veg you eat, brands of sausages, meat portions, etc.

Well, I have spent the past 3 weeks really not being on the straight and narrow food wise, and I can just feel the weight has been creeping back on. I feel very uncomfortable, and just urgh! I know that the reasons were cumulative; emotional, being ill and just being busy. I am now focussing on getting back on track, and undoing the poundage harm. Sometimes it makes no sense, but I do it all the same. I am using my foodfocus logging religiously, and will be noting my daily intake here too. I do find coming here each day keeps me accountable. Does anyone else feel like that? It's the MSE equivalent of a WW or SW meeting. :D

    So, food today:
    B - bowl of rice pops & 1% milk
L - Beef Big Soup, 1 med. banana
D - Grilled chicken breast, 1 med. baked potato, cabbage

Today is the first day I haven't snacked or had anything 'naughty' for a few weeks. I feel strangly cleansed as a consequence! I've also found that I am less tolerant of certain vegetables now too, so my once favourite petit pois and sweetcorn seem to be no-no's along with peppers and onions. Not good when I love them all so much. I'm trying to find which veggies I can get away with, so far cabbage and carrots seem to be OK, cauliflower isn't good, and I'm unsure about broccoli. Anyone else have any problems with digesting foods, or having some that disagree with them?

    Hi all

Had my weigh in tonight and was pleased to see a loss of 5lb. :jStill struggling a little with eating so many points and on 2/3 days only managed to eat half my points. Got better later in the week when I wasn’t so scared (of what I'm not sure) and started to eat ‘normal’ food as well as salads and masses of fruit and veg! I picked up a couple of the WW meals, but they’re expensive and won’t be a regular thing. I’ve made and frozen some 0 point soup so will try that out for lunches at work this week. Next plan is to find some recipes for evening meals and some type of biscuit/flapjack type thing for when I fancy something sweet. Low fat/sugar/everything, any suggestions??

Take Care and keep up the great work :T

    Oh well.

PepPop Matt Tuck, Matt Heafy, M Shadows... plus an inexplicable crush on Vince Neil and Tommy Lee circa 1980s!
Eh I love my classic rock boys aswell. Richie Sambora and JBJ are still looking fabulous now! My music collection is quite mixed actually. I have the pop CDs from my teenage years and the metal/rock/punk CDs that are more me now. My CD collection reads like my gig list! :rotfl:

Your hubby is a lucky man for you to buy him his tats, as they sound stunning. I think that a good tattoo is art. But they have to be very well done. I love watching Miami ink as the guys are incredible :rotfl:

On the WL front, am hoping for a good week but maybe get a slight gain due to easing off a lot to try to get away from this plateau plus a hectic weekend! We'll see come Wednesday!

RVK2 Well done on such an awesome loss :j
