Elfen - rapid weight loss usually means a loss of lean tissue as well as body fat. It's worth preserving your muscle mass if at all possible, because this is good calorie-burning material and will keep your metabolism up
By losing 1-2lb per week it's more likely to be mostly fat, this is GOOD news!
margaretclare - good to hear you're getting back into the swing of things! Glad you're feeling better!
Granny I just love your style of writing, you brought such a smile to my face! Good luck with making the small tweak to your eating habits to get those final few lbs off!
Good to hear things are going in the right direction again Bananasplit!
Nyk you're gonna look gorge in that swimwear!!!0 -
Aaarrghhh fell asleep and woke up too late to get to my belly dance class. On a positive note I've managed to avoid the biscuit tin in my office and chips in the dining hall for lunch so not a totally bad day.0

Quickly reporting a STS this week.
That's actually a lie, because in the past few weeks I've gained several pounds, and have lost 1.5lb since Sunday, but I need to get back to 'where I was', before I feel like I'm back on track. Going in the right direction though...... now to catch up with 2 pages of the thread. One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing
Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home0 -
any day where you successfully avoid chips is a win in my book.0

Whooooops! Woke up this morning and realised I'd forgotten to post the chart last niught. So sorry everyone! So here it is ........
with a fanfare of trumpets for Elfen who is SOTM with a loss of 8.8lbs, and Dinah and RVK who are SOTW with 5lb losses.
Well done to everyone who has lost or STS .... for the second week running we have lost nearly 20lb between us. (Well you have .... runs off to hide in the corner)
I think Fredsnail is taking over the chart now. Just as well as my memory appears to have deserted me this week!0 -
Didn't have ANY chocolate/cake/cheese yesterday .... very pleased with day 1. Maybe we should start an avoiding food subgroup Vixstar, a kind of guerilla warfare against sabotage - you take on the biscuits and chips and I'll deal with the c/c/c. I do think there are some foods who are just out to get us.0

LOL Granny! Well done on the ccc avoidance and thanks for the chart.
We've thought about the cheese cake idea KPC and although it sounds gorgeous it would be pretty pricey, esp as my mum would make the cake. We shall see... ROFL at your OH!
Well done to everyone this week, for being here and being such a great bunch, and especially for giving such sensible advice! And well done on the MA result, amazing!
We're off climbing in a min but OH is fast asleep (it's 2.50pm here!).
Good luck to everyone for this week, and hopefully I'll get a WI sometime soon! Although TOTM has mysteriously disappeared at mo so not sure it would be good to get on the scales...
ps more than happy to add you on FB, just let me know who you are!The 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000
