Gym - Still going, 3 times a week. Just changed gyms
Missus - Poor thing still putting up with me.
Time - Dont have much of it these days
So whats occurring?Proud Member of the Lose Weight Thread on I Wanna..................
Started January 2006 Total loss 180.8lb 82Kg 12st12.8lb0 -
well done on finding anther job - that must have been a hard 4 months. Pity above the daily commute though.
:TOn losing the extra lbs - it shows you may waver, but you will not put it all back on again, you do take yourself in hand (ooh er missis)
Marathon - fantastic (newbies- another forum member who wasn't into 'running' at all before). Well done re the gym consistancy
What's occuring - well a hard core of us , now 'oldies' still around. I've been maintanining, like forever, but not at my lowest weight but somewhere in between and that is good enough for now.
I presume the shoulder op not working enough contributed to the rugby retirement?I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -

Hi everyone. Things have been quite hectic hence my not being on. Back at uni now and have an essay due in Monday which will be the last one from last year and me finally caught up. Of course I then have more due in at the end of November, mid December, January etc...basically constantly until I finish! Oh well, it will be worth it when I graduate. My weight has stayed constant to the pound after my extra break up weight loss despite my eating being mad. Went through a phase of not eating, then constant takeaways and now goes between good and bad. For example a couple of days ago I had cereal, then 112 calorie soup for lunch (2 of my 5 a day) then a mostly vegetable stew for dinner...all good and healthy...but then I ate a punnet of grapes (good...) whilst spooning chocolate spread on them...not good lol. Been given an air walker now which Ive put in my front room so hoping to get eating a bit more on track and get some time on that while watching tv in the evening. Im hoping that having had a more relaxed couple of months of eating and no weight loss that going back to healthy eating and a bit of exercise should give me a little boost, thats the theoy isnt?
Im much happier than i was but still want another 2 stone gone, but I looked back at when I first started loosing weight (before coming on here) and im just a couple of lbs shy of having lost 3 stone so am definitely proud of myself. I definitely need to lose more though as im booked in to have an implant fitted in my arm for 3 years (yes I have heard the horror stories but also have friends who think theyre brilliant so am giving it a go) which the nurse said makes most people gain weight which obviously I dont want to happen but thinking if i get in there first then I can hopefully work through it so even if i dont lose any weight for a bit hopefully i will be "fighting" it and not gaining.
Um not much more to say really, am seeing more of my friends and family (travelling a lot more) and applying for pgce courses for spetember to become a primary school teacher but they are very oversubscribed so not holding my breath. I really hope everyone on here is well, and hopefully I will be around more and able to go back on the chart in a couple of weeks xxx0 -

Well I AM very happy we have finally got to the end of the month, for the last 10 days we had £12 for 10 days then I found a £5 note in one of my trousers oh the joy:j then OH was paid back £10 he was owed so £27 for 10 days, half term, school lunches, OH lunch, petrol, cigs, living, life, dinners it was tight very tight and the kids complained about the baked beans on toast, it is an eye opener though, when you have absolutely nothing, can't go to the shops, can't re stock what you make out what is in the cupboards already, I made them prawn curry as I had no chicken, I made them eat ravioli on toast as I had no cheese, they ate brown bread as there was no white, all that and I smoke so no idea how we managed but my determination was not to take us overdrawn otherwise the misery goes onto the next month, I also get paid tomorrow and they have taken £40 off me for 20% tax so have to sort that out as I do not earn 8 hours a week worth 20% tax, then eldest 16 child benefit gone, then life insurance gone up, then electricity was £60 then get a letter that they are going to increase £97:eek: on and on, I can't see the point in working they are fleezing me:rolleyes:
So, lost 2lb through not having the food, miss the protein in the chicken, no salmon slices, no mackerel, feel the effects of lack of it but tomorrow asda, sainsburys and tescos are going to get it:rotfl:it is amazing what you can do without and what really is a lovely luxury, the kids feel hard done by but they never starved, they ate breakfast lunch and dinner just there were no snacks etc and as I keep telling them, I am here to provide them with food not junk:D
suggs fab to hear from you xx0 -
Bails --- no TOTM?! Are you sure you're waiting until you get off the mountain?
Victory - where can I get a light sabre? I think your ability to manage the family meals on what you had left this month is nothing short of incredible. I completely couldn't do it, wouldn't know how to begin. I'm in awe.
Banana - Sorry, a slip of the keyboard. I've changed it and you're quite right - you had a STS for the month. Thanks for letting me know.
Pooh - itt really doesn't matter that you weigh on a thursday - I usually just put you down as the first one for the following week. I'm sure Fred will do the same. is the total on the chart right? let me know and I'll adjust it if neccessary befor I pass it on. Obvioulsy I haven't put the most recent (and wonderful) 2.75 lb on the chart becaue that will be the first weigh in for next month
SUGGS --- hello and why not come back here to lose that last 4lb?
dmv --- grapes (good...) whilst spooning chocolate spread on them...not good lol. Oh dmv that sound totally dellicious. Am now imagining apple with choc spread, pear with choc spread, choc spread with choc spread ..... yum yum. (Oh just remembered, guerilla warfare on c/c/c = no choc spread:o)0 -
Tesco sell them:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:it was tough these last 10 days but hey a store cupboard is a life saver in a situation like we had, too many bills coming in and too many days in the month:rotfl:sure it is easy to put it off for another month but we did that years ago and we ended up getting paid and 'owing' a months worth of pay on the day it went in:eek: if anything life teaches you never to make the same mistake again and since those early married years months when we could not manage and ended up consolidating loans etc (5 years to get out of pay back) I refuse to ever go through that, would never put anything on a card, have none, would never go over drawn for say xmas or a holiday, rather go without, wait or just keep on dreaming but I say it once I say it again one day I am going to Venice( only been waiting about 20 years):rotfl: my spanish friends are sick of me saying it but one year instead of spain it will be venice0
