victory I think your neighbour is rather rude! Went for a nice meal with oh last night, looked forward to it all week. Pcked relatively good choices but hte booze and the rhubard and ginger creme brulee probably tipped the wagon over. Still mon-thurs was a success, and i'm on track this weekend so I'll just have to see. The bad food I miss the most begins with a p . . . . pate. I eat it with a fork.
building work commences 9th November!!!!!!!!!!!!!! think i may not be ready for christmas but the cooker can stay plumbed in, the fridge can move into the lounge and granny can give me top tips for washing up in the bath.0 -
Top tips KPC .... put all the dirty dishes in the bath and leave them there whilst you shower. Eat out. Turn up at friends' houses at dinner time. Eat at work. Go for picnics.
Alternatively, but more labour intensive, have two washing up bowls which, as you fill one with dirty stuff, you take to the bathroom, place in the bath, and wash in the usual way. Balance the bowl on the other bowl upside down to raise it up a bit and spare your back. Dry and place in the second bowl to take back to the eating/cooking area.
We also used disposable sort of polystyerene (not paper) plates and bowls, bought very cheaply from the pound shop so the w-up was just cutlery and pans etc.
Good luck KPC - just assume it will all take twice as long as you think and be 5 times messier. But it will all be lovely when it's done. Please can we see before, after and during photos?0 -
Went trick or treating with the little one and one man gave him £5:D more money and loads of sweets as we went up and down and now he is very full and happy and dreaming of how to spend his pennies, I never had any, the eldest was so envious of the money:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0

OH snaffled a bag of apple donuts in asda, reduced to 14p!! What's a girl to do......?
Well, guess what this girl did:D (Note, it doesn't involve a halo)I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
BB they had apple in...therefore they are healthy. If you had one it would have been good but if you had 5 you would be super healthy having got your 5 portions of fruit in...0

:rotfl: at Granny and DMV :T
KPC, we wash up in the bathroom sink here, not much space but hey, there's running water (most of the time) so I'm not complaining!Good luck with the building work, it will be SO worth it! BTW, rhubarb and ginger creme brulee sounds divine, ever made this anyone and if so can I have the recipe please? (my advancement towards Earth Mother status continues...what IS happening to me?! :rotfl:) And NO, it's not THAT - 8 days late and now paying for it massively
Managed a WI this morning and of course not good due to the above so it's a 1kg gain this week please Fred. Fully expect that to disappear as soon as TOTM does. Especially as we walked for about 6 hours yesterday, my feet are killing me!
Great haul for your DS Vic, £5  I wouldn't give my own kids that :rotfl:
Good luck this week everyone! OH is away for 12 days now so I will attempt to eat well (not so easy when he's not around). The 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000

Hi guys! Just popping in to say that October ended and I DID get into the new 'skinny' jeans.
I had a sneaky weigh-in this morning, too, so I knew my starting weight from 1st of this month (I started 1st of last month) and have lost half a stone!
I'm really glad that I decided to follow BB & Bails here, as dieting is just something that I don't ever do, so if anyone wonders, it's all down to portion size and a personal challenge not to snack between meals or eat after 9pm. I just need to keep this up until about Spring to get to where I want to be! In my OLD jeans, not new ones! :rotfl:
PS - thanks for the vote of confidence re the grocery budgeting, but when it comes to beans I can only make a tin of them last one meal.Gimmee a turkey leg any day. Need to go shopping today, so will watch out for a pumpkin, as that's my next challenge. Fingers crossed I can get one!
I reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.
