Hi all. Can I report a -2.25lb loss this week :D. Well done to all loosers and STS this week.

We didn't go our for a celebration last weekend gonna do it this weekend instead. Last weekend turned into a bit of a nightmare - my dad got taken into hospital early hours with an Angina attack but all ok now, so needless to say i've not been near a pc for a few days.

I'm playing catch up with you all at the moment. NYK Gary Numan...???:D That's really dodgy, I mean the hair thing??? It's official you're worse than me :p. Well done on the weight loss - you're three week plan has definately paid off :jhappy.gif and cool smiley.

Well done on finding a lodger BB. Where is she from?

RV2 - I used to use WW and I've still got all the stuff at home. I could probably work out a way to put the points calculator on here (if that's not breaking any rules??) for you and how to work out how many points you should use in a day. Might save you some cash till you decide what you're gonna do.

Victory - well done on your restraint at the weekend.

Bails - the stupa looks amazing. Wow certainly wouldn't like going round it prostrating though. Hope the scales lady comes back soon :D

Hope you're feeling better Dinah. Wow everyone seems to be feeling bleugh at the moment so group hugs to you all :grouphug:. Hope you're all feeling better soon.

"I hereby solemly promise that I am going to go to the gym tonight and burn off my 500 calories that I said I would." I've written it down now so i have to do it.:D
    Later peeps.
  • ace smiley nyk!!, good results coming in, yay!
  • Some fabulous losses coming in this week. Well done everyone!

I'm going to throw in my thoughts about music. In my 8 years or so of gig going I've seen such a huge range of acts!
My first was Westlife! But I've seen Bon Jovi twice, Billy Joel (dragged with my mother but really enjoyed it!), some incredibly hard rock bands that would make my mothers ears bleed, O Town, Pink & AC/DC.
I have 3 coming up. Pink this Friday, Green Day next Friday and the Backstreet Boys on the 4th November.
I am right now what you would say a rocker, but the one I'm most excited about? The Backstreet Boys. :o

On that note I think I might take a night off the exercise tonight to see if I can move from my plateau!

i went to see Five when i was 13, and blink 182 when i was 18 or 19 i think. Blink 182 was the best ever by far!

Im more of an 80's girl, and 90's dance music. Although i have to say bananasplit o town is probably the band i reeally wouldnt mention in your list of gigging :p

It's just really irritating when you know you've worked bloody hard and all you see is the same weight!

Agreed! I tried every combination of more/less intake and more/less exercise. If you want to benchmark/compare against my numbers, I'm currently losing 0.5lb of fat per 8 days with BMR 1285, intake approx 1750/day, exercise 7-9 hours per week mostly cycling and running.

I liked them. To be honest I am not embarrassed by any of them!
Best was probably Bon Jovi or Bullet For My Valentine.
I would love to have seen Blink 182! There I am jealous of you!
  • Was up & out of the house before 7am today & forgot to weigh-in so will report a STS for me this week.

Spent the morning helping OH do a deep-clean in a restaurant - 4 hours of scrubbing, cleaning and chipping limescale off taps. We were both starving at the end of it so offset the morning's calorie loss by going to McD's for lunch - my first visit for months and omg I'd forgotten just how disgusting their "food" is. Had a chicken burger thingy with some tasteless piece of meat inside and lashings of bland 'mayo' that made the lettuce go soggy, plus chips that were completely doused in salt. Ate about half of it and gave up (OH had the rest of mine). Been feeling slightly nauseous all afternoon so I think that's cured me of ever wanting to eat there again (next time the kids want to go I'll just have a cup of tea and watch them eat :D).

Planning on going for a swim tonight to salve my conscience. Went to a "dawn dippers" session at the pool yesterday morning - swimming at 6.30am is surreal!! Felt totally energised at the end and bounced back in the door to chivvy the kids up & out to school - they hardly knew what hit them!! Late night tonight as I have to get my OU essay drafted its due in by this time next week and I've barely started it yet!!! :o

Hezza - I have such admiration for those who can exercise at the crack of dawn! I've tried it but I find it incredibly tough going, and I never have much energy until after my brekkie! :D

PepPop, have a good one at the gym tonight!

Mazza I meant to ask you the other day, does your daughter have any tips for a newbie diver? :o I went to the pool the day after signing up for my lessons, and did basic dives from the 1m board, and jumps from the 3m and 5m boards. I'd never jumped from 5m in my life before and I can't imagine diving from that height...!
