    so would I.

Have to own up to a gain of 0.5 lb this week ... second gain in a row which is not good. I'll give myself a stern talking to. In my defence it was a very nice hotel, the special deal did include dinner and breakfast ( and a bottle of champagne) and it would have been rude not to eat it all. (Let's not mention the tea shops with cakes)

Sorry I haven't been reporting in......but I shall be from now on!

Just jumped on the scales and can report a weightloss of ....... -3KG
Not sure what that is in pounds, but I've gone from 83 to 80kg! Good start, the walking I do three days a week must be working! (Also did a step count one day last week, pretty typical uni day... 17,000 steps in ONE day) *is now grinning proudly*

Got a pair of 16's on from Asda and they are trying to fall off. If I lose another few kgs this week....may be able to get into my skinny jeans! (size 14 and a bit tight)

    ** Total debt: £6950.82 ± May NSDs 1/10 **
    ** Fat Bum Shrinking: -7/56lbs **
    **SPC 2012 #1498 -£152 and 1499 ***
I do it all because I'm scared.
  • sorry, been busy again. a sts please granny for me. I have clearly found my balance weight and if I want to lose I am just going to have to make more effort than I wish to sustain at present. But at least I am not putting on.:j
Really behind - have been reading but need to post responses. Will try tomorrow. I'm fine, just very very tired this evening from being busy.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

    Hi all

Thank you all so much for your advice and offers of help, they are very much appreciated.:D

I decided to go to the WW meetings as I don’t think I’ve the will power when there’s not someone ‘keeping an eye’ on me. I’m going to hold off on the gym for a month or so I think. I’ll crack the points calculating and meal planning and then start at the gym.

I had my first weigh-in on Monday and my weight was no great surprise, yep I’m a fat! :eek:Or morbidly obese as my doctor said on Monday but more of that later.

I’m really struggling to eat my points though. I’m allowed 31 but yesterday only managed 15.5 and today 18.5 by eating sensible food. Then I added another 5 by eating some Pringles but still well below what I’m allowed. I can’t say that I’m hungry particularly but I need to eat more carbs I think. I eat enough fruit/salad/veg. Any suggestions for higher point foods that aren’t unhealthy? I don’t want to be using points on rubbish iyswim. I don’t drink so I can’t even have a glass of wine to bump it up :rotfl:

As for the doctor comment above…well she phoned me on Monday and asked if I could do her a favour…huh?? Me??? Anyway she’s got a group of medical students with her for a couple of weeks and wondered if I’d go in to the surgery and have a chat with them about my ‘battle with morbid obesity’ and the problems I had with the PCT not funding gastric band op. I needed my gall bladder out and consultant wouldn’t do it at the weight I was/am. Doc asked for gastric band op and was refused and then appealed and refused again on the grounds my BMI wasn’t high enough…it needs to be 60!!!!!:eek: If I’d put on 2 stone I’d have qualified! Well I had the gall bladder out 5 weeks ago, I’m now pain free and all is good. :j Back to the point..so she asks me to spill the beans, my history of chunky, overweight, obese and finally morbidly obese life story. What I’ve done, support I’ve had etc. She wants them to see first hand someone struggling. Fantastic idea and I’m glad to help but I’m very shy, suffer from panic attacks and hate being with lots of strangers…

Sorry for the long post and thanks again everyone for the support.

Fantastic losses this week! The SOTW is/are RosiePosie with her fab four and Elfen with her stupendous six-six. They have both already met the 5lb challenge as has Nykmedia.
