Went dancing again this evening am really enjoying it but not too sure how well I'm doing all the moves - although this is only week three. Feel suprisingly worn out by the end of the hour and it seems I only have enough coordination for the first 40mins after that you'd never have guessed I'd been to the class before! Wonder how long it'll be before my dance moves become my when tipsy party trick?

Lol Vixstar! What type of dancing you doing?

Thanks for the chart Granny, glad you had a fab break!

Well done to everyone especially Rosie, Elfen and Nyk :T

Good luck on your first week RV2K. If you feel able to it would be a great thing to do but don't put yourself under excessive pressure to do it.

Here's to a good week for everyone and hopefully a WI for me :D It's surprisingly difficult to tell what's going on when you have no way of monitoring - some days I feel huge, others I think it may not be so bad :o We shall see! OH has discovered a climbing wall so although we can't afford to go that often,(and I'm scared of heights :rotfl:) it's something :j Think I need to focus on drinking more water this week.

  • inspiring post rvk thanks. I know what you mean about using up points - SW say that you should have your syns every day - I find that I tend to plan syn free meals and then find that i could have treats with them, but they aren't enough to have the treat that i wantand then i go over them. bit messed up eh? Victory might be able to advise you on good things to use your points on.

rvk some of the WW meals ready meals one are high in points 6 points and more just one meal without any add ons so that could bump it up, if you have say 3 points for breakfast you could double that up by having more or 1 point wholemeal bread times 2 or 2, some fruits are high in sugars and points good for you but high in points, surprisingly some soups are high in sugars and points, when you go out to eat for example the harvester some of their meals are 17 points:eek: and supposedly good for you, it is all a question of looking at each packet, points what it is and look in your ww points book, carbs are high, potatoes, rice, pasta all good for you but high, what makes them higher is the sauces that are added.
just a quick look through the WW book and avocados are 6 points a gammon steak is 6 points medium size they are healthy foods but high in points.
As for the doc, great intentions but that has to be up to you, if you feel you can't do it don't push yourself.
My doc last week said to me 'so if you have lost the weight I take it you are no longer obese' when I asked was I ? He replied yes nearly morbidly obese:rolleyes: glad to see you have sorted yourself out:rolleyes:
Weight aside I was used as a guinea pig for my elbow, the docs cortisoned it and it went from not even being able to put my own bra on to complete movement so they asked me to show the trainees etc and I did and to be honest it was fun being the centre of attention and telling them all about it:D the doc was also very grateful and proud she had managed to get someone from sheer agony to happiness:D

With the point thing (which may help me a lot with losing more) do you need to be a member of WW to get a points list? Just it'll help me plan meals better and I'm having a bit of trouble atm

I do it all because I'm scared.

No, I got my points book from a friend, the boot fairs sell them, the libraries have recipe books, you can get the points if you google and go on the chat rooms, some people have put up points for eating out, others for what the new foods are, others their struggles etc there is a vast wealth of info on the internet, no need to be a member and pay I never did but managed never the less, I have now at least 10 WW recipe books bought from charity shops, car boot sales, ebay do them too:D

My first was Westlife! But I've seen Bon Jovi twice, Billy Joel (dragged with my mother but really enjoyed it!), some incredibly hard rock bands that would make my mothers ears bleed, O Town, Pink & AC/DC.
I have 3 coming up. Pink this Friday, Green Day next Friday and the Backstreet Boys on the 4th November.

That's some variety of music taste Bananasplit - like the sound of the bands you're going to see soon. About your plateau - I was told that when that happens to completely change your exercise routine i.e. change reps or breaks between or if its cardio to do something different for a week and it shocks your body out of it. Don't know if that helps.

RVK2 I agree what an inspirational story - what about snacking on nuts and dried fruit to up your points. It's crazy having to eat more to lose more but it works and I know what you mean about not wanting to eat junk to keep your points level up. Just remember that you've made the commitment and you will never be this heavy again and you can do it.

Thanks for the chart Grannynise, and well done RosiePosie, Elfen and Nyk :j:j:j

Have a good night everyone - I'm gonna take a leaf out of Victory's book and do my plan for the week ahead and go food shopping.

:D I think I'm going back to my Pop roots. A few years ago I'd be more excited about Green Day. Now I'm more excited about the prospect of drooling over Nick Carter :o

Thanks. I took last night off from exercising to break the routine a bit. Also in a week & half I'll be doing netball training twice a week instead of once, so that may help!

Hey I know what you mean although Billie Joe..... Does that mean we're getting old going for clean cut instead of tattoos :( I hope not seeing as OH wants a new tattoo for his Christmas pressie :D
