Lose weight 27

Arghh the one weekend I get to go home to my scales and I lose access to this forum - I really wonder whether my internet dongle is worth it!
Anyway I think I'm a STS again which I'm pleased with considering TOTM (finally) and beer consumption. Off for a run on the running machine in a few minutes. I'm determined that the next time I get near the scales in two weeks I will have a loss. (Also don't want this week's big night out to spoil my efforts so running and belly dancing all this week).
ROSIE have you considered freecycle for a new TV they often have the old fashioned types and I'm sure people would be more than willing to help you out after a break in.0 -
Don't be disheartened Melissa, muscle also burns more calories than fat (even at rest). So although you may see a slowdown in overall weight loss, by improving your body's composition you're doing yourself a big favour for further weight loss and maintaining in future.
When I'm maintaining, I eat roughly the same as what a sedentary person 6 dress sizes larger would require to maintain their weight.0 -

Nyk, I used to see Gary Numan quite often around my village in the early 80s
Where's the green-eyed-monster smiley?:D If you see him again, send him to Scotland. :rotfl: Gimmee plenty of notice so I can lose about 20kg before he gets here!I reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.

Hi guys,
this is just a quickie to say hello. I'm busy doing lots of DIY again this week. New wood floor and built in cabinets to be built, plus moving furniture in/out of house. OH has got the week off, so we're trying to get all the work done, and then have a couple of days free to enjoy the time he has off too.
We had a bit of a bonus this evening too, when we went to get our £10 winnings from the Saturday lottery, we discovered we'd actually won £70! Woohoo! So that's going to pay for some of the wood we're going to be using for our cabinets this week, and a bit left over to go out for a meal together this week.
Diet is completely on the back burner, but we're busy and maintaining energy, especially after having felt so ill all last week, and as it's a bit of a 'holiday' this week, we're going to just take it as it comes.
If I don't check in much this week, you now all know why.One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing
Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home0 -
Creating a 3,500 calorie deficit for every pound IS hard work!!! That's why we need to be pleased with ourselves for every single 1lb loss we get!
We all know this but it's great to have that reminder, thanks Missy!
Congrats on the anniversary Vix! x
I'm finding it a little difficult not being able to monitor my progress, not sure what the answer is, may go back to writing things down for a while. OH is going back to find out about yoga classes at our last hope today so fingers crossed.

Well done for not putting weight on though Mazza :T How long have you been maintaining now? It could be that after such a big loss your body is just taking time to readjust before it starts the WL again?
Maybe we could help motivate each other this week?
Dinah, sorry to hear about the food poisoning! Just been looking at your sig, congrats on your engagement and especially on being debt free! :T How on earth did you manage to shift it so quickly? Got a feeling I've asked you this before.....maybe somewhere else but do tell again!
EDIT: Oh Dinah, I just found your thread in my subscriptions, how could I forget?! Reading your opening post again just gave me a shiver - such a wonderful, wonderful tale of hope and determination! I'll be reading more now I have the internet out here, congratulations again honey! xThe 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000

sounds like you have an exciting week planned sary! I might do well on the weight loss this week as i have a wisdom tooth gone bad which is making me not feel much like eating. Things are rather on edge in our house this week as it's oh's last event of the year this weekend. still nearly done, and he appreciates my support.0
