I didnt really have you down as a radio 1 listener granny
I watched last night of the proms, that was my dose of culture for the month.
Hope your daughter is ok mazza, sounds horrible. My friend has kidney stones when she was a little girl, she kept the stones too.
I wanna try Belly dancing vixstar. Do you get your tummy out?
Sounds Good FFM! Horses......never a love of mine. They can be cute but i dont like their irratic head movements. Its like they want to nut me one, but they can probably smell a bit of my fear!0 -
*hides round the side of the door and slowly slinks in*
Can I come and join and get some help? I'm really needing to start losing weight, and it's getting me down too. Cos of my medication, I've put on a stone and a half/two stone in less than six months, and I REALLY need to start losing it, the only problem is, that my medication makes me constly hungry, so I was hoping I could get some tips for that. I also have to have a gluten and dairy free diet, as I am allergic to both, and am sure that's part of the problem (bread = bloating = elfen looks fatter)
I currently weigh 13 stone, which is the highest I've been in a VERY long time (try middle of 2002). I want to lose around 3 - 3 1/2 stone (so about 40 to 50lbs) but more could be good too. I don't really want to join a gym, as I hate them, but need exercise I can fit round going to uni (which will involve an hour of walking a day - to and from the train station and uni) I also need recipes I can feed to the OH and hope he doesn't notice too much of a difference (but he needs to lose some too - so I'll sneakily do it to him for a bit)
Wondering if anyone had any extra exercise and diet tips, as most non dairy/non gluten food either looks foul, or is more fat laden than the normal stuff!** Total debt: £6950.82 ± May NSDs 1/10 **** Fat Bum Shrinking: -7/56lbs **

I do it all because I'm scared.

Welcome Catalogue Queen - join in with the banter, and we find that popping in regularly helps to keep us on the straight and narrow, or helps us when we're having a harder time to stick with things. Recognising that you're in it for the long-haul to lose and keep the weight off will help too. Since you've tried all the plans (who hasn't?:o) what are you intending to do now to achieve your aim?
Welcome Elfen - You've certainly come to the right place to share your weightloss journey. We're all following a variety of different plans here. I don't have any experience of preparing non dairy/gluten free foods, but I have found a couple of websites that might help you. Do you have any books on the subject, or could you get some from your library, and perhaps build yourself some menu/meal plans from that? i imagine keeping the fat/sugar content of any foods you have in check will be key to combating any hidden calories. The second website below does have recommendations of suppliers of food. However, I imagine you're going to end up having to cook most things from scratch.

Granny is the resident chart compiler (yup, she's our very own Fluffy Freeman - or Fern & Reggie for you younger ones!) and we try to get our loss/gain/STS [stay the same] reported in by about 6pm on a Wednesday in bright bold colours, so it's easy for her to spot!
Granny - I like Woman's Hour, especially if I'm in the car, and I also like the Gardeners Hour, but they moved it, and now I miss it all the time.
Victory - Go for it! You know you can more than do this, so tell them how wonderful you are. Fingers crossed for you. When is it?One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing
Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home0 -
Ta sarymclary, I have to get a LOT of stuff and make from fresh anyway, so I'm used to it. Luckily the local Sainsbury's has gluten free flour and stuff so I can make yummy cakes that aren't too bad for me (usually fruit ones with LOTS of fruit and nuts to fill me up) I need to go to the library anyway, so I'll have a look, and I can pop in Waterstone's and buy a coiuple, since it won't be a fad thing, it's a diet I have to follow or I get really sick - and I haven't so no wonder I feel rancid.
Plan of action for today is:
-Go into town and get some cookery books
-Go to leisure centre/gym and find out costs per month or PAYG
-Do a bit of shopping for things I shall be needing (already have nuts and dried fruit - need to get more veggies and gluten free stuffs)
Whatever else needs to be done, I can do it over the next couple of days.** Total debt: £6950.82 ± May NSDs 1/10 **** Fat Bum Shrinking: -7/56lbs **
