Excellent, no different form being on MAAF! Actually after nearly 2 months being on it i wondered why i could not see my usage on my plusnet pages and discovered i never changed over the usernmae & pass from MAAF to Plusnet. Strange as i thought i would have been cut off?
But alls good, going to schedule any big downloads now during the night!!
Unfortunately I can only get the £11.99 package but I'm not discounting it just yet. Thanks for the feedback.0 -

Out of interest are you on the £5.99 or £11.99 package?

Hi mate, well i am on the £11.99 pacake (£5.99 for 3 months) - Considering i was paying more at MAAF for a 5GB limit and i very pleased - My exchange is due to be compatible within a years (or so i have been told - man down pub, bla bla)
, so fingers crossed I can get on the £5.99 deal, but then i may have free sky BB in my area

I have been with MAAF for 3 years now and am pleased with their service although I have noticed the 5Gb limit is no longer sufficient as I watch a bit of footy and download movies, games etc all at reasonable speeds.
Just been checking out the thinkbroadband forums and it looks like my speeds would get throttled by plusnet :rolleyes:0 -
What do you mean, slower? I get the same with Plusnet as i did with MAAF - 3.4-4MB. The night is slower, but i have not tested it, but it downloads a few gig over night no problem! - I downloaded the last episodes of Lost the other night (as my Trusty SKY HD box has problems with HD channels) LoL.0

I have always used - http://www.speedtest.net/ to test my speeds.
Just done this for you this morning:

Same here mate I was checking it last night, a couple of times I was getting less 0.26 DL but mostly between 3 and 6 MB.
Funnily enough speedtest recognise my ISP as Plusnet so I'm guessing if I switch the service must be identical.
My choice is
1. Stay with MAAF but only if they offer say £7.50 per month instead of the £12 currently on the table.
2. Move to Plusnet for £12 per month, an extra 5GB and free overnight downloads.
3. Move to Post Office unlimited with phone line for £25 per month.
Decisions decisions

Plusnet do throttle depending on what (and when) you use it for:

Thanks Quentin I've seen that page before. Am I right to assume MAAF do the same?0
