madasafish service standards is getting very like BT for some reason.

That's because they are now part of BT, it'll possibly degrade even more?
I'm now in my 2nd year with MAAF and any problems I've had were before the BT takeover. Fortunately not been a victim of the problems some have experienced very recently.
However,James_PN was very helpful when I commenced my second 12 month contract though. (A billing problem)

Still on speeds just over 2 x dial-up for the 4th day in a row now, hopefully James_PN is getting it resolved.

This is the best bit though......taken from MAAF email

"You recently raised a fault with your service using the Broadband Fault Checker. While we check your problem, we've activated an 0808 free dial number for your account. This means you can still access the Internet using dial-up whenever you want, without any problems.

    Your free dial number

    Your number is:"

They forgot to include the free dial-up number !!!

Well mine sure isn't !!! shouldn't have to,that info should have been made clear on their customer service line. When i spoke to someone she was most offhand and unhelpful.

However it has now been resolved and they are reimbursing me for the phone calls so i am pleased about that.

    Name and shame ;)

Financial compensation is no match for shoddy customer service and incompetence across the board

    Gary,

I've replied to your ticket that I opened earlier on today (in addition to the one that you previously had open.

BT have made some profile changes on your line in an attempt to stabilise it. Can you let me know if your line continues to drop? If so, I'll pass it back to them.

    James_PN,

Whatever changes BT made were magnificent ....... I lost my broadband completely !!

It eventually came back at approx 18:30 this evening at a superfast 124kb again, nearly twice as fast a dial-up connection.

What is going on ? - This started on Friday !

I will certainly be looking for a reduction in this months bill, and the cost of the phone calls.
