I also had problems with my account, incorrect usage showing, no static ip address, overdue account email sent before direct debit was due.
Samara sorted it all out, but it looks like a taste of things to come now BT / Plusnet are involved - hopefully not.
I have been with the MAAF group for over 10 years and would like to stay as for the vaste majority of the time the service has been excellent.
Always managed to negotiate a good renewal deal.0 -

Samara did offer me a good deal for my third year which starts today. Unfortunantely that changed as I amoving house so will be classed as a new customer due to the conection charge involved so I am going to wait until I move as there may be more providers available to me at the new place.0 -

you're being very helpful on another matter (re my parents account) but would like your help with regards to my own account.
I am in the process of transferring from BT to MAAF and my phone line went live today apparently, however I am unable to access my webmail - does this facility become available when my broadband goes live or should it be working now?
I receive this message when I try to log on
Your current settings do not allow access to Webmail outside our network
thanks in anticipation0 -
Hi Frugallass,
Your webmail should go live when your broadband goes live. We have this delay to help stop spammers from using our email services. It's not problem to get the email service to start early - could you please PM me your Madasafish username?
Kind regards,

Samara,
AOL didn't issue me with a MAC...the rep CANCELLED my Broadband.
Now I'm stuck waiting. Without with Broadband.
If for example I wanted to sign up to another provider...when is the best time?
My AOL is off now. The AOL marker wont be removed by BT til 12th March.
If for example I wanted to join Madasafish? Would I order now? The 12th?
If you could help me out...I'd be grateful. I was hoping for an easy migration.
Now AOL have given me more reason to hate them.
Simple order: "Can I have my MAC code please?".

Hi South_paw,
You can still sign up now, however we won't be able to start the provisioning process until the marker is removed from your line. I would recommend giving BT a call on 0800 169 9576 just to see if they can expediate removing the marker from your line.
Kind regards,
Samara
Madasafish Customer Care0 -
I have been interested to read this thread as I have been a madasafish customer for over a year now and their customer service has been amazing - not least setting me up with internet in the first place when orange messed me around for 2 months saying I already had broadband.
However, recently their customer service seems to have taken a nose dive with my swapping my current account and hence direct debit details seemingly an impossible task. I have now had 2 e-mails today saying as I haven't paid I will be suspended, but 2 separate people on a helpdesk have told me my account is fully paid up to date. A query sent this morning via their internal website "contact us" function was responded to within the "average 27 mins response" but this was to say that it had been passed to a customer services department.
I wonder if now MAAF is under the wonderful auspices of BT, the customer service is taking a rapid nose dive?0 -
We are lucky on here.
Samara is good at solving problems which are posted on here - shame about the majority of their customers who have to put up with the cs line!
(Sameer is good at their cs centre, seems to have some clout and worth asking for - wonder if he's any relation?)0
