A bit of feedback about my experiences with MAAF.
I'm just coming to the end of a 12 month contract with MAAF and have had a consistently good connection. I would highly recommend them on this basis, however, my recent dealings with customer care left a lot to be desired.
As my contract was expiring, I called the help desk to see what they could offer me in terms of a new 12 month contract, only to be told ‘go and look at the website’. Following this, I e-mailed customer care requesting to cancel if they could no longer offer me a competitive deal and received the following response.
Please be advised that I have tryed to call you with regards to the request of canceling the account you were not avaliable and reached your mailbox , could yoou please provide us with an appropriate time and number that you can be contacted in,
Now, I’ve no issue with bad spelling and grammar on an open forum such as this, but to receive such a badly worded reply left me with no confidence in their customer care and I’m just glad I didn’t encounter any technical problems.
Overall though, the connection speed was high and consistent throughout the year, it’s just a shame they don’t do more to keep their existing customer base.0 -

Mate you should have read through this thread before posting. You need to pm Samara as she is 'customer care' and very good at it too!0 -
Hi Stucee,
Thank you for bringing that to my attention, I agree that the email does look unprofessional and we'll address this internally.
Kind regards,

Hi Samara
Is MAAF awake? Have no reply yet!0 -
Hi Frankie,
I'm really sorry about that - I could have sworn that I responded to all my PMs from the 20th, but when I went through to look at them the 'responded' icon didn't show next to yours!
I apologise for the delay and a response is with you now
Kind regards,

Good afternoon all (again).
I've a bit of a query which I've raised ith MAAF support but though I'd ask here also.
2 days ago installed the D-link wireless router that came free with MAAF.
No problems, good strong connection etc etc.
However, when the PC is off (but the router still on) there seems to be quite a bit of activity - as shown by the data usage. Since 10:30 last night it seems to be around 3MB of usage (with no-one home, PC off, and me checking my MAAF account via my workplace.
Thing is, I've changed my routers' login and password, and have set up a WPA-PSK that is rather long and complicated.
In other words, I can virtually rule out being 'hacked'.
As the broadband was only set up 3 days ago or so, could this usage be the router 'talking' to the exchange to work out my ADSL MAX speed?
It's bafffling. Any ideas appreciated.0 -
Anybody else had problems since the website 'upgrade'. I can't access the my account section, the page doesn't load properly. I've also not received an invoice for March.0
