Yes, just make sure the wifi logo is visible on the screen (transmitter icon), because if the wifi connection is lost, it will atempt to switch to GPRS, and it will show the earth/globe icon (which indicates gprs connection).0 -

You need to perform a search for available connections and then connect to your home connection which may require you to enter a password if you have one set up on your router. Once you have done this, select your home connection as the default connection. This way, whenever you try to access the internet it will try to connect through your home wifi connection first.0 -

Hi
Been following this thread cos I'm interested in this phone but I'm currently with Vodaphone with an expired contract. I cant see this listed in their site so may have to finish with them to get it, wouldn't mind getting it on O2 but I cant see it on their website either - does anyone know if they are doing it now? perhaps I need to go into the shop and find it.
I like the look of the red one but it seems rare!
Thanks0 -
I think the red is oly with orange, I wanted silver but happy with black, going to call up this weekend, its nothing major and its a great phone!0

I can recommend O2 - I defected from Orange a few years ago now & have never had any problems. I actually upgraded to this phone with Carphone Warehouse - O2 told me they wont have the phone until July but I guess that isnt too long to wait now. I did get a really good deal with CPW & when I compared phones that were available on O2 CPW was better.
Hth
ps. CPW originally had an exclusive deal which explains why you havent seen it on Vodaphone0 -
Thanks for the info.
Just been into phones 4 U and they have offered to do a free handset upgrade keeping me on my existing Vodaphone tariff (£20.00 per month) inc. STC. So I'm happy with that - the cheapest Orange offered it on was £34 per month, and O2 were clueless as to when they were getting it in.
Really dont get how Phome 4U can do this as Vodaphone have said they wont be getting it in but anyway if this deal comes off with Phones 4U then I get the phone for £20 per month keeping on my ex tariff - happy days!
Wonder if this deals will actually though.......watch this space!0 -
