What they would read about you is that you are a kind and caring mother and grandmother who is generous with her time, energy, compassion and money. Who puts others before herself all the time. A remarkable woman, battling the odds, with minimal support. A loving granny to her her grandsons and the carer of DGD who is the living proof that you are doing a really good job in very difficult circumstances.

Molly is right just take a look at your DGD she a credit to you

Thankyou, she is a delight, a stress, a joy, a menace, and brilliantly bright. She is my life now.
I just wish there was two of me so that the boys could have the other one!

Well I am ready for my bed already! DGD is demanding the pictures. She means the little bit of video and photo's of the boys, but I really cannot face them tonight.
I didnt take the pictures down off the kitchen wall in the end, but thats enough of a reminder today. We can watch them tomorrow when i feel stronger.

I hate the clock changes I feel so drained and its only cming up for 7 in the evening! eek.

Well I am not sure who the guardian actually is, as I had been left out of proceedings as I am only granny.
I will see what we can think about on these lines, and see if we can drawer a plan up? It all seems so difficult to me, as I am not trained to do these things, and a guardian will be appointed by who? SS or the court? What trianing will they have?
Oh It just doesnt bare thinking about today. I am too tired.

The guardian is appointed by the court and is employed by CAFCASS. It will be an expeirenced social worker, with lots of training and experience in getting the wishes and feelings of children. The children will have a solicitor who will represent the guardians views.
Yhe guardian should have met the children and the parents, twin2 will know who it is and most likely he will have submitted an initial report to the court which twin2 will have had sight of.
Have a think about what support twin2 would need and jot it down and I'll help you put it together in an acceptable to court format.
Mama read so much about the dangers of drinking alcohol and eating chocolate that she immediately gave up reading.

I'm glad I got it right re: twin tracking.

We do see some cases through work where it seems SS are only going through the motions of Twin Tracking, because they are already sure that the child(ren) will need to be adopted, but you can see the logic of it, and it does give mum a chance to 'prove' herself.

And when a child IS adopted, there is evidence that strong birth family 'attachment' in the early years is very very helpful to adopted children, so never think that the efforts you've put in will be wasted: your love and their mum's love and their cousin's love IS making an impression which can't be removed.

    Thanks Gizmo,
I will work on it over the next few days. But I am behind on my DLA application, as I have no idea where the time went, and so much going on. Molly has suggested i try and get an extention to the return date, which I will call today and see about.
I am under the weather today, so far anyway. Head is very woolly, with lack of sleep and then i took extra tablets at 4am ish. So I am struggling to think straight.

DGD woke at 3am and had wet the bed, so I had the rigmoural of changing her bed and doing that when i am disorientated took some concentration, and its always hard to do. thank god she doesnt normally wet the bed!
Now I have a mountain of washing to do, with her bedding ontop of all the stuff unearthed while decluttering!.
Mind you decluttering seems to have made the place more cluttered! While its all been pulled out of the hideing places to be sorted!.

Don't know if you would be able to, but my Mum used to put us on the pot to perform as she went to bed. Half the time we were not even awake but still managed to go :rotfl: which saved night time accidents.

And I HATE the way decluttering seems to make more mess to start with :(

I suppose I should try this. I have when I think she has drunk more than usual, however as she is so heavy, and its a cabin bed, I struggle to lift her so I tend not too. :o

I have boxes and bags as an obstacle course all around the cottage at the moment.! My fault for having horded I suppose. The problem is I havent the energy or the strength to do much at any one time! So frustrating.

  • Are your parents able bodied enough to come and help out for a couple of days? I know my parents were so glad I asked them recently and even stayed a few nights to help out with my daughter when I was going through a tough time. I got the reply, 'We thought you'd never ask!' Even the support of making cups of tea, helping with dinner and watching DGD would help you massively.

Have you thought about contacting your welfare benefits adviser at the CAB? They will sort out all the stuff with your DLA for you, including filling out the form for you if you need them to......they will also write the appeal if you are turned down.

Most CAB's have one, and because of your circumstances you would qualify to see on - one less thing to do for you at least!

Hope you feel better as the day goes on :)
