Mooloo you've not mentioned the twins much lately..is twin1 still seeing DGD? Is Twin2 still fighting for the boys?

Twin1 is rreducing her times to come and see DGD, as she is at college apparantly doing quite well. However I hear stories that she is drinking at the moment, which she never used to do. So I am upset. But I had decided that I needed to let go of some of the stress that i was suffering, so I am not getting involved as much.

We did see her last week, but it took an arguement outside the nursery to get her to come back with us. Which was stressful for DGD as well as for me.
Some issues really need to be addressed and the contact is one of them. She doesnt even call her much anymore, even though the calls are free to ring me, mobile to mobile as i have a family and friends package I pay £7 a month for them all to stay in contact. But the twins have gone and bought different phones on different network and so thats their excuse, no credit.

Twin2 is still going through the process, she is still seeking legal advise etc, there is a court date at the end of the month where the relative people have to give dates for the assessments of the parents and the children etc and thats not due to be sorted until April.
I am going to take her to see the boys on Thursday. She still goes every Tuesday and Thursday, on the bus, I only get to go once a month.

Argh! Todays post brought a Tax Credit demand for £52.77 and when I rang to sort it out, there is a debt frm 2005 over payment. I demanded to know why it was not written off in my Bankruptcy? Some couple of hundred of pounds when I split with my husband apparantly.
Anyway its taken me a while to sort it out, but now I hope that that will be the last of it.
It was a scarey moment, and I was so glad that I could get hold of the Bankrupcy number and give the details.
For once I didnt stress, as such, just got ascertive about it.
    Lunch time.

I have DS and twin1 here with me tonight. DGD was late to bed, about 30mins ago now, as we had to detour to twin2's to get some busfare money for twin1, money owed by the girl from the family from hell. Of course she didnt havethe money, so we had to use the petrol money that twin2 has for thursday. Complicated.
Twin2 wants me to take her to her solicitors after we see the boys on Thursday. I hadnt planned around that.
Twin1 has had a card from the father of DGD.Also letters from his solicitors. He has changed his mind and wants to meet DGD and have contact. Thts all I need at the moment.
She is 3 for god sake, where was he when she was born,? Where was he when he didnt want to know, and wanted to go on Jeremy Kyle show for a DNA? Then he wanted to visit, and failed to come, its just all over again stress now.

Tomorrow DGD and I are gong to meet Molly and go to Ikea to check out the storage etc.

I have sorted out some removal quotes, the change over of my telephone and broadband. I cannot cancel my sky as I havent been with them long enough, the "fine" would be £210, 7 months payments but only £60 to have a new dish. Got me by the proverbial really.

First removals quote is £700 without actually looking at the places, or my stuff. But its a ball park figure I can work on.

Funds will not cover that at the moment, but my Dad may be able to help me with some of it. I will have to make do with rugs, and raid my cupboards for curtains/stuff that I have already got, or what i can use to make curtains, as soon as I know the windows at the new place. So my main thoughts then will be getting a cooker. Which I cannot do until I know if there is a gas point as well as electric.

I am getting my head around things. Slowly but surely.
I have warned the family that I will be demanding help from them to go through the stuff n the shed and the understairs storage.

Now I am tired and its time for me to go to bed.
    Night all.

    Thanks Gizmo,
I shall be seeing my solicitor on Monday. So I think I will print out this little bit and take it with me for some advice. He never did get back to me, after I went to see him in August I think it might have been now? not sure. Time flies so fast in the Mooloo household.

Feel free but could you cut and paste the text on word doc so it has no origin to this site or me - just in case anyone should decide to find me and moan about me pointing out poor practice, I'd stand by what Isaid in a court of law if need be, but no point being identified if not needed to - hope that makes sense.
Mama read so much about the dangers of drinking alcohol and eating chocolate that she immediately gave up reading.

Yes of course, thats what I would have done anyway.! I realise that your in a position that could be difficult if you were named.

Time to do the first car journey of the day. DGD is moaning that she is being woken up! how the tables have turned.!

  • Mooloo are you sure about the Sky contract? I remember having a discussion with them which went along the lines of "well, we can't exactly penalise you for moving house.." Double check with their retention department, see if you cen't wangle a free install. at your new plave. Also try the TV board they may have some good suggestions.

    Hi Mooloo,

re the removal cost - is there any way you could cut this by eg hiring a van for the weekend and getting DS/your BF or any other volunteers to move your stuff.

or even getting a local "man and a van" could be cheaper than a full on removal company?

(I have no idea how much stuff you have, I realise this may not be practical if it is a lot)

PS - Freecycle could be a source of free carpets or floorcoverings to tide you over, if you can get someone to collect of course. There are quite a few offers of used carpet on our group.
