Morning Mooloo :) I'm sorry to hear that your arm is still playing up. I hope it improves today. Did you manage to get an appointment at the GPs?
I can understand the strange dreams thing. I dreamt I was trying to cook dinner for the Hotel Inspector at my friend's house and the kitchen kept growing upwards. I felt like Alice in Wonderland, but did manage to cook a feast after standing on a chair lol.
I can picture you wearing a sou-wester and hiding behind a barricade as DGD flings cereal at you. I hope you won the cereal war.
Have a good visit with Molly and tc xxxx
  • mooloo do you lift DGd onto the loo at night or do you struggle like me to lift anything at all . Always amazes me that they go whilst half asleep.

Are you still looking to move back into a town , if so any joy ? with SW or adult family etc write you a letter for housing dept. I know you love your cottage but with DGD and DS living in a town would help woulkdn't it if only by saving your driving so much . Plus you would have better services like the sure start centres etc

    Morning Shaz,
I dont lift her, I wouldnt manage to. She is in a cabin bed, so I need her to put her arms around my neck, then Isort of lower her down my body to the floor. But will have to do this if she continues. The potty is in the room, should she wake and want to go to the loo. She can use the steps if she really wants too!
Night times, between the last lot of tablets and my morning tablets, mean I am disadvantaged to moving around. As I tend to go to bed not long after she does it didnt seem worth lifting her then. We will monitor and see.

Funnily enough I did my call to the council yesterday, asking where I was, and kept the woman talking for about 12 minutes explaining why I struggle, and need a better facility etc etc. (Keep me in her mind, with any luck). I am down for every area they have!!! but they will rule me out if they think that its not suitable, and as I have to give 2 months notice to the landlord, they will give me as much warning that a place is coming up as possible. The problem is that who knows when a place will come up? I have been on the list about 5 years.

The town where all my family live, I am 16th on the list. I will not get there, so they say. More likely to be the other end of the county! Which is not going to help with my family, but maywith facilities.? Alas it will be even further from my BF if that is the case.
Being in different counties. (jRemember I came back this way as the family wanted it!). hmmm

Not quite wearing a shouthwester! But she has an oil cloth on the floor around her feet! Keep her in her pj's till after breakfast, but have to get her dressed now or we wont get to Mum on time.:o

  • I was in a similair poition a few years back and got medical points toward my housing application ...went straight to the top of the list and got a house i picked. The more professionals you can get to approve your reasons to move the better your chances. I would have thought you were technically overcrowded as DS cannot legally share a room with you or DGD ...although i guesss their argument woul be you and she could share . Hope the dry nights improve

Shaz, I am not sure what points I have, the doctor wrote, the social services wrote. I am not sure who else could write for me? I am 4th an 5th on the villages nearby, but that would only give me a move a mile or two up the road, and still not on a bus route. Imight get a 3 bedroomed house, but probably still have the travelling problems etc.
The ladies at the council, know me quite well, and are quite aware of the family situation, having rehoused the twins etc etc. One of them was quite candid on the phone last month, about worrying about twin1 and her vunerability where she is. Alas they do not have what I call "secure" housing for the vunerable in this area.

If I was fitter, I think it would be my mission to find such a place. (That lottery win,????).

For me, I will carry on, and just have to work things as best as I can.

I have roped my old Dad into help today. He is collecting DGD at 1pm from Twin1's, after Play and Stay. That saves me a return journey and has given me 2 hours to do the housework, that sort of builds up around me.
I have just stopped for cup of tea and a biscuit, after doing a blitz on the front room. (Need somewhere for Molly to sit for a start!!).
Then I will do the washingup etc and bring the kitchen back into "clear spaced zone"! After the delivery last night, there are tins all over the place, (couldnt reach up my arm).
I will feel happier when these two rooms are sorted.
Then if I can clear away the toys etc, and the washing from the bathroom, and hey bingo, I will be happier and more relaxed, and by then DGD will be back to make a mess again!!
Mind you I canot let her take the blame for a lot of it. DS is terrible, I just found a potnoodle pot behind the sofa! Then there is my paperwork and sewing.....need I go on!.

Right tea over, the water should be hot and can washupetc:D

I wish I had read your post before I had cleared it up! mind you, its probably more likely that his sister would be using the bed before he does! he is hardly ever here!

Molly has recently left. We had a couple of hours nattering over cups of tea and my Dad brought DGD back.
Molly brought over some toys her children had outgrown, and given to DGD. So DGD is happy as larry playing with Mr Potato head at the moment.
I managed to test out my Dads little camera yesterday when we went to see the boys. So showed Molly the little bit of video of all three grandchildren playing etc.
Some precious footage, dispite my shakey hand. I will have to commander the camera more often, and take as much of them as I can, for the future.

I managed to tidy up the sittingroom, and the kitchen, but not the bathroom. But that was still good as my arm is really not behaving itself.

We also perceviered, and got through to Tax Credits about DS going to college, and we will wait for the wheels to be set in motion for some financial assistance in the future.

The builders have made a few birds homeless pointing up the front of the house, and are now packing up for the weekend.
Alas I do not have any plants surviving out the front, the beautiful Rose Bush is chopped to the ground!.
Perhaps I can rethink what can go in there next spring!

Quails, ooh how many have you got?

It is good to sit in a room that is not swamping me tonight.
I am tired, been a bit naughty and put a bid on a CK dress on ebay! Was looking for some fabric remenants of hers, but couldnt resist.! My excuse is if it comes in time I can use it for my holiday! mmm wonder if that will wash???? (I dont mean the dress, I mean the excuse!).

    Morning already!
I sat up watching mindless TV until about 11.30!
Dont ask me why, becuase I could Isuppose. Was faffing about on Ebay as well. Did one of t the search engines for spellingmistakes, and was amazed at what came up!. Also noticed again people selling pieces of fabrics, as small as 3" x 3" for patchworkers. When I come back from my holidays at the beginning of next month, I shall aspire to either be making my own patchworks, or start selling my remenants, when they are co-ordinating with enough others!;):D

That is if I ever get around to it of course!:o

Today there are no plans to do much more than potter, depending on my arm of course. We will see.
DGD played for a bit in her room this morning. Used the potty, saving the mad dash attempt to get down the stairs first thing.

At least the sittingroom and the kitchen are pleasing to the eye to start the day. I think I will target one of the kitchen drawers for a clear up/out. Start as I plan to go on. De-cluttering slowly but surely. (again??).
