A new start for Mooloo

Well I managed to clear out4 drawers in one unit. Then BF surprised me with a text asking for a cup of tea on his way home from his "team building" exercise with work. Which fitted in nicely with hanging out the last wash.
I was due to go out for lunch with twin2 and her BF. So it was a quick cup of tea, and he was gone again and so was I.
Back now, full, and tired. But happy that for once I was not the chief cook and bottlewasher, and a guest, and no stresses or strains. How things should be.
DGD is tired and so am I. Bit too late for her sleep now though! When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Just wondering Mooloo and obviously you don't need to answer this if you don't want to, but did Twin 2 talk about the boys at all when you were there today or start any conversations up about them unprompted? I just wonder how she is dealing with it and how aware she is. Hope twin 2 is in good health. x0

With my eldest monster it was blu-tack in his ear. That ended up with a home visit from the GP and then a trip to the hospital. Thankfully the GP arranged a special appointment so that I didn't have to sit in A&E for 6 hours with a toddler and his baby brother.0

We deliberately steered clear of the problems and the situation as such, we just enjoyed the meal, talked about the decorating they are doing, and the job hunting, while they are waiting. She sees them every Tueday and Thursday, and has become set in that routine now.
We as a family, have adjusted to the fact that the boys are with a loving and caring family, that we are unable to do anything further ourselves to bring the boys home, and so do not ponder and agonise over it together anymore.
The kids were mentioned when talking about decorating the boys room again, and the toys, DGD was allowed to play at, and the bowls etc she ate from. But that was about it today.
She is well, and concentrating on tryingto get parttime work.
I have been reading about getting organised and making notes, ideas and tips this evening/ Sorry night. Look at the time. I am never up this late.
I better go to bed!!:oWhen I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Typically DGD woke at the earlier end of her spectrum today. But she did Play with a few of her toys, and she used her potty, before she got board and shouted for granny. (So I lay awake listening to her).
This morning I am at home. This afternoon, probably not. Twin1 would like me to either take her to the college for 1.30, and wait while she does a few exam/tests to her abilities, to ascertain her level of learning, what course to enrol her on, and then she must sign on at 3.30. Possibly having to return to the college to finish off things. Which is not ideal. It would mean letting me loose in the town for a few hours. My spendaholic within would be grabbing "bargains" in the pound shops, and or the charity shops.
In hind sight I think it may be cheaper for me, and save me time if I break my rules, and electronically send her the busfare.!
Keep temptatiion out of my way.
Reduce the stress of taking a tired toddler around a busy town (and wanting things).
I think I just made up my mind. I will give her the money. Via the bank, if it is not going to be swallowed up in her overdraft.
If it is, then I may call upon my parents (who are nearer to her) to give her the cash, and send the funds to them, (or give it back tomorrow when I have to take DGD to Nursery). This will free me up to do my De-cluttering, of another drawer, or set of drawers.
Hope everyone has a good day. The weather here is dull but dry so far. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
You've made the right decision Mooloo. It's not fair on either you or DGD to be kept hanging around for hours waiting for her. Let her go on her own and you have a much needed relaxing day at home, pottering around at your own pace xxx“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0

Deed done, With parents help, twin1 will get to her interviews etc, and I will stay at home and potter.
So after an hour or so on here, and the bank etc etc Its time to turn the computer off for a change! DGD has her bricks out, and is playing well. She has the starts of a cold. So good decision in the end.
Declutter another set of drawers is my aim today. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -

I did it! I actually managed to sort out the second set of drawers in my bedroom. I had a little help from DGD and a few sidetracking moments. But at least I feel that I have achieved something.
I had to wash the bathroom mats as she was helping granny and tri to empty the potty, unsuccessfully. They are now on the line blowing away gaily.
Next will have to be a pillow, (and what ever else will fit in the machine)as she decided to dunk her biscuits in her milk, and the resulting mess was knocked off the table, down the camode and over the pillow she was using to ssit on the chair! So they needed washing/cleaning along with the carpet underneath.
I am now resting, after making us some cheese and coldmeat toasted sandwiches, and a side plate of cucumber, lettuce leaves and some green grapes. Her favourite..
My diary/budget book I splurged on on Wednesday have arrived. So I am going to spend 30minutes or so now, transferring relevant information out of 2009's copy. (I ddnt get one for 2010, but this new one goes from now, until dec 2011) So thats not bad.
Lunch tablets taken, so lets hope I ddnt do too much.
I am going to have to make the trip to Town to collect DS about 3pm. (nearly forgot about him, as he hs been away at his friends for best part of the week). He starts college tomorrow for real now.
The council have said they have over paid my benefits by £827.96 as the switch for DS from Dependant to Non-dependant earlier in the year, and I hadnt told them.
They do not allow for DGD!!!
Waiting for a phone call back to tell me how they expect that to be repaid. (Hoping its just reducing payments of future benefits, and then I can rejig the budget to suit. Bearing in mind that DS will qualify again soon!.)
Since starting typing this it looks like rain, better keep akeen eye on it, for the mats!.When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0
