Shaz all three fabrics were from your stash! Playboy and purple butterflies! I just copied the motifs, scanned into the computer, enlarged, and printed out. Then cut out in reverse!.
Have enough Gingham to make another bag, (already started), and to use a bit for something else. Yet to be decided!.:D

:rotfl::rotfl: I made the knickers for DGD on Friday afternoon, just as a quicky as she doesnt seem to have many? and we were going away for the weekend. Didnt want her to run out of them. Molly said most people go to Mr T and buy them, Or Mr George etc, but not me, I make them !!!!! Actually they are so easy to do, that I will probably make her a set of them. They are made out of fabric that I had left over from when the twins were young, and I had made nighties for them. I made a nighty out of it at the end of last year for a baby.

Have cut out a couple of childrens aprons from some oilcloth, and another from a pillowcase, ready to sew up this afternoon, if I get the chance.

Today DGD and I are going to see the boys at the family centre. Meeting twin2 there. She doesnt want me to take her today, which is annoying as usually SS help with the cost of the petrol when I take her, and she is giving it to her friends instead, which has messed my planning up, and left me short of petrol, and this week I am shorter of cash, as the taxcredits have not gone in for two weeks, and messed up the cash flow.!

Will be doing an emergency budget of my own, this week, to see which reserves I can call on, as the Car is due its MOT in the first week of September and I forgot that little gem!! Oops.

  • Did you manage to speak to someone in the know at tax credits to assertain what you are entitled to claim?

\They are re looking at my case and will reinstate it next week, if I am still entitled to it. Which I am. When DS returns to College i can the reclaim Child Tax credits for him as he is under 18. (just).
The bus pass is £110 a term, thats the subsidised one. So we will still have to find that money somewhere.!
I may have to use the money in the ISA that is for the holidays. But I still think that DGD and I need that holiday, so we are looking now that her passport is back.
I am not going to panic about the money as it will come true in the end. I am learning that. Slowly!;)

Glad the parcel arrived safely. hope the different fabrics are OK?
Did think about making them all in one fabric but changed my mind.!
Thinking of making more of the smaller ones for Christmas tree decorations? Especially with the smell of cinnamon that comes through. Perhaps I will have a go at some stars?

Well after long searchs etc, we are going on holiday at the end of Sept for a week.! Flights are booked!! yipee I am so excited.
That emergency budget is going to have to be a good one. My Dad has said that he will help me with some spending money. Good old Dad!! We will probably self cater, but still making our minds up about it. BF is coming with us. (His idea, he booked the flights too!!). So I am feeling very happy today. (However I am very sore, had a terrible day yesterday with Pain, due to holding/lifting DGS2, he is becoming a rather large baby, and solid, which relates to heavy!!! and I paid the consequences for the rest of the day. So no sewing done. Alas. )
Market Stall is tomorrow, so I hope that I will get a better day today. This morning its Stay and Play with her Mum, so I will call in at my parents, and then be about to collect her. For once I will have a cup of tea with Mum and Dad, not just use thier house as a refuge.!
Tonight DGD goes to Biggest of Mooloo's but is coming back early, 10am on Sunday, as they need to get packing. So it will be the last time DGD goes there. Not sure where she will be staying/if she can, as Biggest has not a forwarding address yet. May not have a place of thier own until the new year.
We will just have to see what develops.

They have paid me £52.39 Tax Credits today!! Not got the paperwork so dont know how they have come to that amount as its not similar to the previous payments, so I will have to wait for the post to catch me up.

    But its gratefully received anyway.
