I do the prepayment prescription too if you get more than 2 items a month it pays for itself . Will your housing benefit be affected?

Knowing my luck, yes. But I will be writing to them about my sitution this week anyway, as I have to update about DS.
however I should still get it. My income is only £91.40 a week, as Fostering Allowance is for DGD and is disregarded.
    At the moment anyway.!

If you have to pay for any prescriptions in the meantime, ask the chemist for the receipt you'll need for reclaiming once your exemption or prepayment certificate arrives - I think it's the same kind for both, but you do need the 'right' kind of receipt, not just the till receipt.

And then you backdate your application to the date of those receipts, and should get them repaid.

I hope that if that doesn't make sense that someone will explain it better.

Not my best of days today.
My apparatus for the bathroom and bedroom arrived this afternoon, so with the waiting for that, and the fireblanket this morning, we have been at home, and with the rain, couped up in the house.
DGD is grotty as she is not sleeping in the day, dispite telling me she is tired and needs a rest, then not resting!.

I have only managed to make 4 small drawerstring PE bags out of some pillowcases that Molly gave me a few weeks ago.
The organiser of the Market in the village hall asked me to go this week as she has nobody for the table thisweek, but alas now there is someoneelse filling up the next few weeks after that. So I will have to go and see what the opposition is all about in a fortnight.

Mind you, there are only between 50 and 80 visitors to the market, and they are same faces every week, or so, so I will never make great sales there, its more of a sounding board and a reason to get me focused.!

I will doubt I will sew anything else today, as I am tired so I will focus on it tomorrow when I have DGD in Nursery.

  • Mooloo, sorry to hear that you have had a rubbish day today. Fingers crossed tomorrow will be better for you. x

Went to bed as soon as I put DGD to bed as I hurt myself lifting her out of the bath!. So I was lying down as soon as I could!.
So I will take it as easy as I can today. However I do still have to do some work while she is at Nursery.
I have brought DS home with me, he managed to get up and meet us outside the nursery. He has got to contact the College today to make sure he has his place still. Whether or not we work out if he will stay is another matter. We will see.
Twin1 is planning on coming over tonight, but going home again tomorrow. So she no longer stops two nights a week. Which is fine by me in some ways, but not in others. Never mind.
Things are looking better today, possibly becuase the sun is shining. Although the rain is still forecast for later on.
The Tax Credits will get sorted out, when DS starts college, so I will just have to be very careful on the spends over the next few weeks, till its sorted.
There is enough funds in the savings account to move around. Something that I am not used to having, and keep forgetting I have, so I should be careful but at least we can cope!. I dont have enough to buy DS's bus pass though! Last year it was free. This year they are charging us as we are out of Northampton!!
Time to get myself at the sewing machine, a few shopping bags needed to stock up for the weekend. If the people are going in and buying fruit and vegetables then I may catch a few with a few bags.

Will he get EMA? A lot of colleges do a reduced bus pass for kids getting this.
Mama read so much about the dangers of drinking alcohol and eating chocolate that she immediately gave up reading.

We are going to apply. And keep fingers crossed. Its still going to be £110 a term. Thats it at the reduced price. Last year it was free to those on EMA/and parents on ESA. But alas not this year., Cutbacks!.

Today I have been sewing. I have made a couple of Shoppers, but not out of the pillowcases this time.
I have used some canvas I found in a charity shop, and have appliqued for the first time, with fabrics from other bedding though.
I will take a picture later and post a picture.
I am quite proud of them, as I havent really done this kind of applique before, (using fuseable stuff). I have a third cut out, but not decided on the decoration, and need a rest. Spoons etc etc to remember. Which is a nuisance when i have DGD in Nursery, and the bug to sew!.

DS has confirmed his place at college, and still seems to want to go, so lets hope that he has realise his problems.
Alas while I live in the middle of no where we will struggle to sort out his comings and goings.

I dont know of anyone, but then we dont know anyone in the village for a start. However perhaps I could put a postcard in the next village post office and ask around.

I have used the red/white check fabric, the bunnies, and the butterflies to create my bags today! Photos will be later, its definitely compulsory rest time. DS has said that I must rest or I wont be good for anything! So is watching me!. (while he is here anyway!).

The stalls that sell are the fruit and veg, then the meat, The teas and coffees have now started to do Bacon rolls, and the husbands are stopping for that while the women are buying the veg etc. So I am not really what they are going there for. But what I am thinking is getting the people in the village to know me, Then I can put my sign up outside the cottage, and see if perhaps I can generate a better interest. We will see. I am going to go with the flow.
I can always get the bits and pieces back on Etsy if I dont sell them at the village market. (or else there will be lots of bags and scented hearts for christmas and birthday presents!!)
