    hello, fello MSE'rs.
We are home!. We had a good weekend, and the weather was not too bad either!
DGD played well with the toys there, settled into the camp bed BF had put up ready for her, and slept for 11 hours both nights and no wet bed! Brilliant.
BF was on form, and they both played well, BF's son is home from Uni and they all played with the footballs etc in the garden It was fun.
We went to cowley centre for some stuff to mend the roof of his shed, and he bought DGD a lollypop (woody from Toystory- DGD's choice) for being a good girl.
The weekend was happy, we had a few laughs and no tension at all. It was lovely.

It is good to get home, but I am still tired, even though i spent most of the time reading! DGD was playing well with the toys, and in the garden.
An ideal summers weekend. (except no BBQing!)
My parents have phoned, they are back on this side of the channel so I will have help for a while in the form of someone to talk to when I go to town etc, and DGD is with her mum.

I did get back to a disaster in my garden though, every single piece of kale has been eaten by something, just stalks left, and the same for the cabbages, its been eaten by caterpillers.
I have some huge courgettes though!
Havent checked out the rest of the stuff, we need to have our tea! Running late.

I have lots of things to sew with now, thanks to lots of links on the sewing thread, and form some lovely people on here. I am itching to sew. Was all weekend, but also I did get the good rest so I cannot have it all ways.

I hope that with all this good will that has come my way, with buttons and beads, fabrics too, that my luck has changed. i certenly feel lucky!
    Time for tea, x

Good to read your weekend turned out well. Perhaps it was a lot more relaxed because you and he have accepted that what you wanted you can't have, so the emotions aren't running as high ? Just a thought.
Take it easy if you've been tired all weekend despite not doing anything. Understandably you want to crack on with sewing, but don't forget to count your spoons ;)
.................:)....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

Hi, I think that I will need to investigate the rules on selling childrens toys. Think they have to be tested? Not sure. Making for gifts is one thing. But didnt think about it until now, that I may need to have product testing done if I am to sell them?

I've a feeling you're right there. I used to sew soft toys, but was unable to sell them. You can sell ornaments, drawer scenters etc. So I used to put a bit of lavender in my animals and specify that they weren't toys (if someone used it as a toy, that wasn't my fault). You'll need to check very carefully about the taggies, and maybe look to see if you need insurance to cover if something should go wrong. I know, it all seems a hassle and frustrating for something as simple as a taggie
If having different experiences, thoughts and ideas to you, or having an opinion that you don't understand, makes me a troll, then I am proud to be a 100% crying, talking, sleeping, walking, living Troll. :hello:

For the time being I will keep the childrens taggies off of the stall. I need to sort the stuff out.
I cannot afford insurance at the moment, so will have to sell some harmless bits first and save up!
To have public liability to have someone here to teach sewing was going to set me back nearly £200! so I decided against it. Until times are better anyway.

You may be right there, both about BF and myself, but also about my number of Spoons!!
I will not run before I can walk with the sewing, even though it has given me another focus to do.
Time to get DGD up to bed. She is playing with a tin of buttons that I was lucky enough to be given this weekend.:T:T I see plenty of hours play there!

    Hi Mooloo,

Gald you are Ok - I've been away for a week and see you've been to panel - not sure of outcome though, have only skimmed thread, bit concerned about SG mention at panel, but see the bit about GP rec for twins which is good.

    Speak soon, Take Care x
Mama read so much about the dangers of drinking alcohol and eating chocolate that she immediately gave up reading.

    Hi Gizmo,
The panel meeting went well, (I think) all in the room after questioning me, in turn, decided that they were happy to reccommend me to foster DGD. However the police check for somereason still hadnt been done, so that was subject to that happening pronto. The SW with me, kept ringing the others to find out the results but nobody got back to us at the time.
SG is being shoved down my throat. But I have said, I am not doing anything until I have thoroughly studied the options about it. I am sure that the threat to remove DGD into Care elsewhere is just that, a threat. They are short of Foster Carers, and I cannot see a court upholding that. But its a scarey thought. However I have said that I am waiting instructions from my solicitor. So we will ride it out together! I hope.
    :D
