i always have a tub of coffee mate in as well for if we run out
Yes I usually do have milk in the freezer, and uht in the cupboard, but I havent been to the shop for a while, and used the last thinking that i was going to pop into the shop and top up yesterday, but as the meeting was running late, and I had left DGD with Molly for about 4 hours! I dashed back home.
I will go out in a bit and get some. Been trying to sew, but DGD has wondered off with the tape measure, then i realised that I just sewed 8 hearts the wrong side up! grrr. Shows I am still tired.
Now I have to sit and unpick them! Between running around after DGD. She is alternating from playing with the penny pot to my tape measure.
I could do with collecting lots of buttons in a box for her. aS suggested previously. Just havent got around to collecting any. Yet. But I will eventually. Well I am feeling quite elated.!
I just received a copy of a letter that the Paediatrician at the hospital wrote after our check up for DGD.
With out the names etc it says that in the Background to being looked after:- "DGD is in care becuase of concerns about her mother's ability to care for her effectively. Twin1 has a longstanding diagnosis of ADHD/Dyspraxia/dyslexia. She has a twin sister who has very similar learning difficulties. I have made enquiries and can confirm that both twin1 and her sister were born prematurely and have these specific learning difficulties in association with ADHD. As these are lifelong issues, features of ADHD such As disorganization and chaotic lifestyle compounded with thier learning difficulties will always put Twin1 and her sister in a vulnerable category."
Summary
" Given DGD's mother's diagnosis of ADHD/specific learning difficulties, I was saddened to hear from Mooloo that both twin1 and twin2 have not received ongoing support and input from Social Services. I will therefore write to their GP and request that a formal referral be made to the Adult Psychiatric Team in order that both twins have ongiong support which will hopefully contibute to them being better able to mangage thier lives in the future."
BINGO!! SOMEONE IS LISTENING TO ME AT LAST
Will this help them now? I really hope so. I could relax more if only they had the help they need! When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Fantastic xxxxI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Och Mooloo, that actually brought tears to my eyes. I am so pleased to see this. Maybe things will move forward properly for all of them now. Molly, how did your daughter get on? We had a nasty moment yesterday when there was a postcard from DS3's 2nd choice uni, welcoming him, because Unis have known results since Sunday so have decided who they'll take and who not. Anyway, DS3 looked on a forum and found that it didn't mean he hadn't made his first choice, and his results were fine! Phew!Signature removed for peace of mind0

I hope this turns out well. The twins will have to agree with their doctors that they be referred to their local Mental Health Trust for assessment. I do hope they will both see it would be most helpful and in their best interests, but as they both have capacity they can refuse......................I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

Oh thankyou that would be lovely!
I think my luck must have changed today.
I had a call asking me if I wanted some beads surplus to requirements, and a lady from the next village just delivered them to me. I do not know her? Not sure how she found out about me, called me by my name not Mooloo's so not sure, and was so shocked apart from thanking her, I forgot to ask!
So I now have a few broken pearl style necklaces to use the beads from.!
I think I will need to start to organise space in one place somehow for all the little bits I am gathering, via my charity shops, and donations! Its like having christmas coming early for me. The joy of knowing that I can make something out of things people are not using is like living on a cloud! When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -

I hope that they will realise that its for thier benefit. We will see. Its just the start, tthis is the first professional who has bothered to find their records and to look at them with a different light. She was only assessing DGD and it was finding out the background to her coming into care that has done it. Thank goodness for someone. But we are a long way off now. As we still will need to get the others onboard!.When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0
