Just a thought Mooloo, but have you a Primark in any of the places you go on your travels? The bedding is really cheap and they have some fantastic designs for both younger and older boys & girls. I was thinking that you may be able to make a lot of fantastic things from their duvets.

Afternoon, I am home, just having a bite of lunch. Managed not to spend money eating in town, but I did overspend! oops. I couldnt resist buying myself a treat and picked up some jumpers in Jane Norman sale!! mm but I promise they were less then £10 each.
I think it was that little bit of a pick me up I wanted. Nearly all my clothes are second hand afterall.
Now I picked up some charity shop buys as well, including a couple of books for me to enjoy reading, now that I have the aim for a more relaxed life (ha ha).
Had a phone call from Action for Children, and they are agreeing to fund DGD's day at nursery until the end of the year! yipee. (Mind you the woman was moaning and moaning about the cost of it, and I said THATS NOT MY PROBLEM!! (aren't you proud of me?)).
Also was told that my first part of the assessment was nearly done, and that she would get me to sign it tomorrow after the LAC meeting, and that so far she doesnt see any problems with me having DGD. so I am feeling a lot more confident today.

Now its time to get to the sewing. ABout an hour later then I was going to, but I really took my time in town. Even still I think I may have borrowed some of my energy from tomorrow! oops.

  • Glad you enjoyed your 'me' time. Good for you for standing up to people and asserting yourself!! It does get easier over time. Bit rich them saying they see no problems with you having DGD, especially after all this time!!

That's fantastic news about the funding. Will they refund what you have paid out already? More money to spend now on your holiday!

Awww those are fab. I never thought of recycling pj's. I've just thrown a load of pj's out too. Such a shame. I didn't think of sending them to you. Next time! x

All recycling greatfully received. Its amazing what I can make if I have the time to do it!
I shall improve as time goes by.
The more time I get, the more I will delve! There are many sides to this woman, other then just mother and grandmother, taxi driver, bank of mum, and the usual things! They just dont get to see the light of day very often,:rotfl:

Oh you so clever and creative. Im so pleased that DD's PJ tops were put to good use. Really good news re the funding xx

Edited to add - just shown DD and her Dad and they are full of admiration for you too. DD thought they were really cool and her dad thought they were very good!
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Oh thank them for me, I am now feeling very big headed.
DGD is wearing them as we speak. She was so excited that I had put the buttons on them! (first edition was going to be a top that just went over her head, but her head was too big!!).

I just thought I would add some excitement into the house and managed to electrocute myself on the kettle lead. Somehow when I was cooking the dinner the flex touched the hotplate and burnt through. So when I just went to wipe the cooker top and moved the flex, wham! what a shock, knocked me across the kitchen and made me scream that worried DS to bits. So now I need to buy a new kettle tomorrow! Still tingling now.

I think I have had enough excitement for today. Am very tired after so many sleepless nights. May take myself up to bed soon.
Twin1 is here and is trying to get DGD to sleep. she has been horriible since coming home from Nursery. I think that that is probably an understatement! Screaming abdabs and going ridged when trying to get her into the car seat. Took us 15 minutes and bribary to go and see the sheep when we got home.

Hopefully we can do some sewing in the morning. Think I may make a hotwater bottle cover out of the rest of those PJ's.
