Hi Mooloo, what was the outcome of the back to work meeting? x0
-
Was my 5th meeting. Now apparantly I dont have to go back for another one, unless I want to, for 3 years.
Maybe they will get the message that I really am not well enough to do all of this!. Next I really need to get them to help me with an OT. etc etc. Well it will be someone else I suppose.
Just got in, been away all day. Must sort out little one before I do anymore. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Can't your doctor refer you to occupational therapy ...mine has , but no appointment yet . I also have been referred back to neurology as my doctor thinks an op might help..............terrified isnt the word , i have a fear of anaesthetic ......... the op as far as i can tell involves taking chips of bone from your hip and wedging them in your spine which prises the damaged vertebrae away from the nerve it has been resting on/damaged the bones then hopefully fuse ........yeuch hoping this really isn't the only option
For those who don't know i have the same condition as Mooloo - cervical spondylosis which as well as causing excruciating pain means i cannot turn my head very well and my left shoulder/arm is affected almost like a stroke being unable to lift or raise my arm properly .............i would rather put up with all of that than go through an operation like that!*****

Shaz, mine seems to have stablised somewhat, but for how long, I am not sure. But you have descrbed what has happened to us exactly.
I do not fancy any operation like that at all.
Backs are not a good thing in our family. My father and sister have scoliosis, my sister had to have a titanium rod inserted in her back, about 6 years ago.
My Mum has had disc troubles, and various other problems so backs are a no no, in our place.!
Just had a late tea. DGD about to go to bed now, bit later then normal but we have been out all day.
Said goodbye to my parents who are off to France for afew months!. Lucky them.
Helped twin1 get some furniture for her little house, and have splashed out on a cabinbed for DGD, for her room. As she is too big for the travel cot really. Now I need to get someone to fetch it for me. (Charity shop buy of course). When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Morning all,
I have been up and doing since 6.20am! So not as bad as yesterday. Somewhere along the line DGD took her nappy off and put a swimming costume on? So the bed was soaked this morning.! Thats all in the washing machine now. Including the contents of the knicker/socks drawer! as she had tipped it all into the cot with her.
I thought I would sort out my paperwork and filing stuff this morning, remembered that I had a metal in/out tray thing in the utility room somewhere, so I dug it out. Moved a very heavy singer sewing machine off of my wide windowsill, and thought I would use that seat/windowsill to store my paperwork etc, as its close to the door!. But alas the system is too wide by about 1cm! So I will have to rethink where i put the tray. But perhaps the files will at least go on the window sill.
I have decided that as I seem to open the post by the door, and then stuff everything on the dresser< It would have made more sense to keep the filing there too.
Maybe if I clear all my books off of the dresser, I could put the in/out tray there? mm. But where will I put all the sewing books!
A small shuffle looks like becoming a big manouvre! Oh well. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Mooloo also put a bin next to the filing cabinet for all the junk mail and envelopes etc so they can be discarded straight away , my system is,...... i open mail , dump any junk in the bin straightaway , i file anything that doesn't require any action and i have a to do tray(old box) for anything that requires action .........although i may not deal with it straight away i know where it is when i have time and i don't have to sort out a pile of junk to find it!!! once a week i shred the contents of the bin and add it to my compost bin
Just one of my many OCD systems , i have similair systems for shoes , laundry and recycling i find "handling things once " saves time in the long run . I also have a file on the computer with letter templates in with our names and address etc on so i just fill in dates and what i want to say . I do MIL's filing and paperwork too and she has loads of banking stuff and some probate stuff too , so i write a lot of letter for her.
i am so organised its unreal ......:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:even the kids mock me about it!*****

Well I could do with your help then!
I hve the bin here, its the litter bin at the moment, but I know I need a new shredder as mine will only score the paper these days. I could do with a cross shredder like my Dad has, then I could also use the pulp to make my Paper Bricks!
At the moment, I have cleared off the shelf.
Now I have put one of my little used chopping boards on the window seat so taht i can put he in/out/pending tray on it.
The lever arch files I seem to have as well.
DGD is playing in the fire place, after hving already had a bath.!!!
Got to goWhen I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Well the meeting lasted an hour and a half.
I seemed to be the main person talking, with the chairperson.
The faults in the system have come to light.
She has called for another meeting in 8 weeks, and told the social services that they must come up with a Complete Care Plan.
That the kinship assessments must be done. Should have been done as we all know.
They also want the Family agreement more refined.
The health visitor was against me leaving DGD with her Mum unsupervised, but the social workers had said that they were happy for her to have her for a few hours. But we now have to define what a few hours are.
The social worker handed over today to a new team. The team that are dealing withmy grandsons.
The boys were moved away to the north of the county today. I am very upset about that as the access is denied to us, for at least a week now.
We have still called for the assessment for mum. But it is looking like the health visitor really has it in for the twins.
I am starting another long road of battles I can see.
So we have 8 weeks where we wait for the SS to come up with their next plan of action.
Twin1 just played with DGD and didnt really listen to the meeting. Let it all go over her head.
I have "kidnapped" DS from twin2's house, and brought him back home to help me with the lawn, and he has done that.
He is currently cooking me some eggs to go with the gammon and chips I had started. (I will not complain).
I am really tired, and very sore. Must have hit my wall.
Aches and pains have really kicked in.
I can see a very early night, if I dont get a second wind!.
I wanted to do so much today.
I did manage to label a few plastic pockets and get them into a lever arch file. And put a pile of documents into them as I went along but its just the tip of the iceberg really. starting a new system will really need a proper way to think so that this time it works for me. So Shaz I will be trying to follow your advise.
I think I will have to get you to help me re organise other things! My home has become a dumping ground at the moment. Even the table that i put in the kitchen to be able to have some work space is now full of things. Even the babies steriliser etc etc.!
So I shall need diligence and patience to get through it all. Before I was struck down with my spondylosis I would blitz regularly, but no more.
Right time to go.When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
(((((((((9hugs))))) WELL DONE! Glad they have been given a structure and a timeframe.
If anyone has diligence and patience it is you.:)Every day above ground is a good one0
