A new start for Mooloo

Hi Mooloo, haven't been on in ages as I haven't been well, have been back to hospital and have to have another op next month. So much has happened! You are so strong to keep going through all this and your children and grandchildren are so lucky to have you. I am so glad the tests on the children were all clear- I would love to have seen the SW's faces when they were told! I hope they pull all the stops out now and get you the money they owe you (I know that it really should be so much more but at least it's start!) I hope things go smoothly for a few weeks now so that you can catch your breath and reclaim your well-being.
Thanks SuziQ,
I am sorry to hear that you have been unwell, and I hope that things are also better for you too. I shll be thinking of you. At lest I am not having to have any ops etc. Just physio!
Just need to re-rread some of the things that have been pointed in my direction. Especially in the furniture departments.
Then need towork my way around the days events.!:DWhen I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Good luck Mooloo - hope everything that is starting to come together really gets moving now!0

well I am exhausted. With three little ones in the cottage there is no peace what so ever.
We have had the man out about the boiler, and we now have heat at the new house. We have also moved the things that were taken over yesterday into the various rooms. Twin2 is determind to move in tonight!.
One of the two year olds is finally asleep, but DGD is not playing by the rules.
There is a birds nest in the chimney, and we can hear one of the birds stuck in there. But I cannot get at it. The grate is full of twigs and pieces of fireplace so i am worried about the chimney, I had to remind the landlord last night that it was still dropping bits of bricks!!
One of Twin2's friends have said they will come over this afternoon and go to the hostel with her to continue to gather up her stuff, before her Dad meets her at the hostel, but they still haven't turned up yet.
We did manage to squash us all into my Corsa, with twin2 in the middle seat between the babyseat and toddler seat. I put DGD into the toddlerseat in the front. But she kept opening the car windows!!.When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -

Thanks Lolababy,
I hadnt thought of the radio.
I have tried to contact the council, but so far, it apears I need to be oneof the service providers for my daughter. i.e.Social Worker, housing Officer, etc. So although I have emailed the recycling departments, I am nt sure I will get a reply.
Meanwhile I will keep asking! When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
This morning, I am going to see how easy I can take it. I am very sore from yesterday, even though i went to bed early with heatpads and hotwater bottles.
DGD had me up at 7am. So not bad.
She is playing on the floor with her toys.
My parents have been away up north to one of Dads brothers wedding.! (At 88) and are making a trip back down, early, today, to bring some things from his house, as he has moved into his new wifes and is selling up. So Twin2 will have more bedding, towels, bedside lamps and things like that. Then they are going back to finish thier holiday later today.
Twin1 is still having problems getting any benifits now that she has altered her claim. So she is back at the jobcentre again today. (She went yesterday and they cancelled her appointment, without telling her, which I think is no way to treat someone who needs thier benefits, that they are entitled too!).
I have already had to transfer her some money so she could get some food!.
After the appointment today, I am hoping that she will come over and see her daughter.
I do not know what else will happen today. It never seems to go as planned.
Did get a garbld message from one of the teenagers that twin2 and DS know, saying that DS may be coming home for a vist this weekend, so I am going to see if I can get hold of him as I havent heard from him, since a line on Facebook at the weekend. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Have just collected DS from oxford and brought him home for the weekend. When I say home, he is stopping at his sisters. But thats OK>
Am off to help rally the family to clear up the hostel and make sure its ok ready for handover. Amongst other things.
Not sure whats planned for later.
Got to go.
Still no funding in sight! Thank god my Mum leant me £60!!!When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Well there isnt any of the £60 lft. It cost me £50 to fill up with petrol.
Then i also ended up buying odds and sodds, and raiding my freezer to makesure that there was food for twin2 and DS and thekids for the next few days. If she listens to my comments, and follows my very basic menu plan.
I have ended up exhausted. I started cleaning ovens and walls and carpets, but as Twin2 and her friend kept stopping for cigarette breaks. I gave up. A was sore, and decided that it was "sod it time". I had had enough. I drove over 100 miles today, and cleaned up the kitchen at the new house, and the other bits of the hostel. Left early, and gave the keys to DS, and two mates. of twin2, and told them to finish up. If she gets billed for redecoration then so be it. I had started to Paint. But decided My body had had enough.
I am now home for the weekend with DGD, and will potter in my own home and garden. I have Twin2's washing to still do, as she doesnt have a machine or a washing line. But that is all that I am going to do for anybody else this weekend.
Twin1 only stopped for the one night. Have taken her back now, and after all of them were together at one point today. Reminded them that the Bank of Mum is now closed, that the time bank of Mum is full, and that I am going to back off and let them be, for the rest of the weekend, then only visit one day a week.,
(Bet thats easier said then done, but I am going to try.).
BF said he will come over to visit me tomorrow.
Right time to bath DGD and hopefully she will sleep. So I can. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Morning.
Well DGD and I are at the cottage. We have been backwards and forwards so much I am feeling like a well worn yoyo!.
My body thinks its done a marathon, and my purse thinks I have been too liberal with my funding!.
Twin2 is at her new house, with her two children, still no BF on the horizon.
DS is up visiting, and I hope will think again about where he is staying in Oxford.
Twin1 has a few more days grace in her flat, and is making the most of it, it would seem. She has been over, but only for one night. But her and DS did have all the children with them, while Twin2 and one of her friends and I went back to the hostel to do some more finishing off.
Then after a lot of running around, its just DGD and me now.
Today the sun looks like its going to shine, so I am going to hang out the washing, (If my arm will reach the lline, and if it wont, it will have to go on airers in the garden.),
Its twin2's washing, not mine. So I also have all my own work to get done.
My BF is coming up to visit this afternoon. So he will probably help us in the garden if its still nice.
I still do not have any news of when I may start to receive the funding and so without my parents help, we would have been unable to help the girls in thier move etc.
Right I really need to get dressed and get going. I have been in my dressinggown for hours now.
Hope everyone has a good weekend, and I am aiming just to do what I need to do for me today!.When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Well its good evening.
I am tired, but at least its of my choice today.
I refused to go running and help the twins or Ds today. They can all wait until tomorrow. (With a small bit of help from Biggest of mooloo).
yesterday morning I went for my Prescription, and then on to Mr T. Spent up. Hopefully for the next week. Got the bulk Nappies for DGD, and bought some reduced meats etc for our tea, and for the freezer.
Then was back home had lunch and was doing things in the garden when my BF arrived.
He dug up even more of the garden (and a lot faster then I could have done.)
He even took DGD for a very long walk circumnavigating the village, taking in sheep and horses. etc. And that gave me time to tidy up the front room, and blitz the dining room, which was becoming the laundry room!.
I felt it in the end, but it was worth it. As the cottage was beginning to drive me mad.
We shared a bottle of wine and an easter egg while watching TV once DGD had gone to bed.
Today I was up with DGD around 7.30, and he came down about an hour or so later.
He again spent a lot of time with us, and kept DGD occupied with books, and play etc while i continued to do things around the home, the garden etc etc.
He went home around 2 this afternoon I think.
the weather was not so good today, but we still managed to plant out some of my flowers. And I continued to dig a further couple of feet of the garden, but I think I overdid it these last few days. I am very sore now!!! perhaps a hot bath is in order.
Tomorrow we have to hand the Hostel keys back, (what ever state it ended up in). Makesure that Twin1 gets back to Northampton as she came back again to Towcester with one of her friends yesterday. Make sure that DS gets back to oxford.
I may just put him on a bus. As now the cost of petrol is making a big difference to things. With all the driving that I have done lately, the costs of everything are suddenly coming to my attention!.
Well anyway we will see what happens.
I am feeling happier then I have done in a while, I just hope that the good weather carries on enough to keep us all motivated.
Its time for me to seriously take another look at my budget as its all blown out of the window lately. See if I can do any damage repair!.
I will leave all the chasing of Social etc till Tuesday afternoon. I plan to go to my coffee shop/stop at the village hall this week, as i have missed it the last week or maybe two?
I also hope to be able to restart my sewing lessons on Wednesday. I may have to have DGD a lot longer then was planned, but I want to try and arrange things to suit my being able to do things for myself too!.
right, now I am watching the Antiques Roadshow, and going to enjoy the peace and quiet of my little cottage now that DGD is alseep. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0
