I have just caught up with your thread as I haven't been online since 28th. I am delighted you are getting your payment sorted and that your grandsons are fine. Hopefully when things get sorted again you will have time for yourself.

Didnt win the lottery so still nose to the grindstone.
Twin2 has rung me this morning telling me she is not going to be getting back with her BF as he has been cheating on her while he is away! Part of me wants to cheer the other is realising that she has lost one of her possible supports. Now has two kids to bring up. She is still at my cottage while I am here in Oxford, I go home tomorrow.
Did a lot of walking yesterday, we detoured via Salisbury and had a wonder around the charity shops. I actually resisited buying anything, and used up an Asda gift card, to buy us some lunch!. Good results.
Bit stiff and achey this morning though.
Going to go and have a shower, and see if the heat will loosen up those muscles!.
Not sure what we will do today, as BF may go sailing. I forgot to bring my reading books or magazines with me. Sill me. But I will relax as much as I can as next week will be a busy week moving Twin2. Etc etc
Just wish my funding was in place, and life would be so much easier.
But am feeling much more positive then have done in a while.

Good to read you're having a pleasant weekend and are feeling more positive.
Twin2's BF, from what you've written about him, seems to have been far more of a hindrance than a help. He's stolen from her, roughly handed the eldest child, mixed with some extremely unsavoury friends and now cheated on her. Things may be a bit difficult for her without him, but on balance it would seem that in many ways her life will be a lot easier. At least now she has the opportunity to perhaps find a decent BF.

Well I am back home now. Twin2 seams to have coped, although DGS has managed to draw on my tv screen and my walls!
She is bathing the kids at the moment and then she is going to go over to the hostel with one of her friends to do some packing. lets hope that that will help me tomorrow. Her dad is suppost to help with a van tomorrow night, so fingers crossed.

Well its nearly my bedtime. I have had a wonderfully quiet weekend. After the madness of last week, and before the madness of the rest of this week!.
I came home to a few things that are annoying me, but I will not dwell on them at the moment. Except the biro marks on my leather reclining chair!!!
Need an aggy and kim moment.
    All the kids are asleep.
Twin 2 went back to the hostel with some of her friends and she just rang to tell me she is on the way back. They have been to pack up her stuff. Or at least some of it.
I am hoping and praying that her Dad doesnt let her down tomorrow.
Biggest of mooloo took DGD to the beach today, and so DGD is on about her Bucket, except she called it her "booket" and spade. She was a bit grotty, but not so bad as DGS to get to bed. They are both in Travel cots upstairs. I have DGS2 in the carseat asleep by me feet here in the sitting room.
I have lots of things to think about in the next few days. like swaping TV licenses for twin2. Getting the GAs supply back on.
Getting Curtain rails for the house, and someone to fix them. Wish we had a Lets system here!.
The carpet pieces i had from the flat are too small for her place, but at least they can sit in the middle of the rooms and help reduce the noise levels until she has sorted out new carpets for herself.
I shall get on to the Bromford Housing People and see if they can get her the right charities as mentioned, to get her some furniture.
    She is back already!
I must be getting slower at typing.

Sounds like you had a good Easter weekend, love. I hope it all goes smoothly this week. Good Luck! Hairspray will take the biro off your leather with no damage. Big hugs for some extra strength.

Blimey, don't tell me the previous tenants took the curtain rails with them ! If they did, the screw holes should still be there to fit some Swish curtain track from B&Q/Wikos etc (I hope- check first Mooloo).
Is Twin2 eligible for a Community Care grant for furniture ?

They took the curtain rails, the light bulbs the lot. the holes were filled in. so were the holes in the walls, which was a pity as the paintwork was lovely. Cerise inthe kitchen , now with white blobs everywhere, and a dark teal/turquoise green in the bathroom!. Not a good look the white fillings!. Perhaps we will hand pictures in the same places!!!:rotfl:
Tomorrow I will see if we can get some Curtain rails. Saw 4.5m of a basic plastic one in Argos for just short of £8!. so if I buy two of them then we could do the whole house.
Twin 2 has just given me some money towards the bills for being here this week. Thank good ness. As the SS are still a long way off in paying me.
Unless i get a miracle cheque in the post that is!. but knowning my luck I doubt it.!

I am feeling so much more upbeat, I really do hope we are not in for a fall.!
Even seen some old school friends popped up on Facebook, and considering I have moved 39 times in my life you can imagine how often I also changed schools.!! think it was about 11 schools I was in. Have to re calculate with my parents one of these days, but I know it was lots!.

Right now I really must move or tomorrow will come too soon. And DGD is in a travel cot in my room, so i am sure we will all be disturbed early.

Re the 'decor'. She should push hard for a decorating allowance

Re the curtain rails . Dunno if you have a drill, if not buy a packet of large cuphooks as you can use one to make screw holes in wood for the rail screws
