Well there is Cannons Ashby house, that is just in a village around the corner, that I have never been to, but I am not sure its suitable for a 2 year old. We will see. Thanks for this. I would not have known about the freetime this weekend, if you had not lead me to it. The normal price of £8.+ would have been prohibited to me, with my low income at the moment.
If I hadnt been so generous with all the family here and used up all the basics in the food cupboards. I will need to do an extra shop, as soon as I can!
Thats something I can do today, if she has a sleep, is stock take the freezers and see if the food by numbers can come up with anything different for us to do.
We have the rest of the gammon joint for today, and quite a few potatoes left, as there are two of us. Maybe I will make roast potatoes and roast the parsnip thats left in the fridge!.
There is of course the sewingmachine that I can entertain myself with, if she sleeps, as its overlooking the beautiful hill and the sheep.
Actually if I can mend her reins, I may be able to take her into the garden. But its not very suitable for a 2 year old. We nearly lost DGS under a car early on Friday morning. He opened the back door, and stepped out. Then once they start the decline there is no stopping to the road.:eek:Double scarey that was for his Mum. Thank god I was not looking or I may have had a seizure! When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Well I checked the lotto, didnt win that! So back to Frugal free things!
Aim to be as positive as I can. but dont be surprised if there are a few tears along the way!.
Better go and get DGD dressed now. Want to wash her dressinggown as its yuk around the sleeps and collar- again. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Sorry Mooloo - I didn't win the lottery either - so the cheque made out to Mooloo remains unsigned
!
Hope you have a good day. A suggestion for DGD when you want to sew ...have you got a button box? My children spent hours "sorting" it when I wanted/needed to get out my sewing machine when they were little- and they were "helping" me.0 -
Ah, not really got a button box anymore, but i think I can start to build one up.
I think I have some beads somewhere but worry that they might not be suitable for a two year old. I remember my eldest getting things stuck up her nose! That was the end of a pen, but you know what I mean.
But it will be a good idea to get a box of something together, it could be pieces of material maybe? Scraps of different types of feelings maybe.
Well you are getting my mind working anyway.
Been outside to the shed to get the wood in, the lambs etc are out with thier mums in the field just over the way. In a little while i will go out for a wonder if DGD is up to it. She is showing signs of a cold, with the runny nose, and the yuk nappies. Maybe I shouldnt go too far.?When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Make up a 'sewing box' for her ? pieces of fabric, zips, empty cotton reels, but nothing that would be easy for her to swallow, stick in ear/nose/other interesting places !
If you wrap her up very warmly, a visit to the lambs would probably do you both good, give you both a bit of fresh air and sunshine and a change from looking at four walls......................I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

She is looking very tierd already, so perhaps she can have an earlier nap, and then we can go, as long as the weather stays the same of course.
Right I better do some work or I will sulk all day, and we cannot have that.
I have to keep busy. (But god I am hurting at the moment!,) No Mooloo, its ot allowed. Best foot forward and get busy!!!!When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Hi Mooloo you have every right to sulk although Im not sure that is the right word. If you do need to cry do it or you will do more harm than good keeping it pent up.0
-
I am trying not to cry so DGD doesnt see it.
I distracted myself while she was sleeping, and I have made another handbag. Sat at the bedroom window with the sun shining in, and the lambs running around with thier Mum's on the hill. Lovely.
But I still keep looking at my telephone for a message or something. Even though I know I am not going to get one.
I am just going to see if my Mum is about and see if we can go and see them this afternoon, see if she likes the bag, although I am in two minds about it, as its a different one to normal. Trying to make it reversible.!
Time I woke up DGD or she will not sleep tonight, and we need to eat something.
Mind you not sure about that myself, maybe the gammon in a sandwich, got some brown bread, mmm and some pickle, sounds like a good plan.
Thanks all for keeping me going.

Hugs to you xxI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Hi Mooloo
Sorry to hear about your BF, if you need a break anytime come & stay with hubby & me, leave DGD with biggest so you can have a real rest & stay for a couple of days, the river is nearby, lovely to walk along & ducks to feed, you'd be very welcome.
