Unfortunately this was a private garage and the owner was not english and seemed to think it was ok for ds to work till 7 or even nine at night from 7 in the morning.
I do hope you get some help soon I can't even begin to imagine the frustration.0 -
http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/YoungPeople/Workandcareers/Yourrightsandresponsibilitiesatwork/DG_066272 gives you some details about young people and work.
Good luck tomorrow with welfare benefits. If is a council run department I'd also suggest you discuss another DLA application with them for yourself? The IVF worked;DS born 2006.0 -

Just typed a really long update, and then it said I wasnt logged in, and I lost the lot. I did log in!. Had been able to thank people and read my Pm's! GrrrrrrrWhen I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0

I will try again, and maybe just post in little bits!
ShazI have put an advert in freecycle for wanted clothes, but the only answer that I had turned out to be a scam one, so far!.
The meeting at Welfare Rights, was more for Twin1 then for me. I think I would need a seperate one. But basically she said that we need to go along with the SS, or they would just take out a court order, and that would probably send twin1 to the centre anyway. The centre sounds more and more like a "prison" for poor twin1, she cannot go anywhere on her own, or do shopping, have visitors without appointment, have much of her own things, ect in there. We will need to find storage for her things.
The tenancy with the housing is going to end, at best End of January. The keyworker from the flats came with us. She said that she still thinks that twin1 will need on going care/assistance. The lawyer is going to investigate to see if there are any such places in the care system, but she doesnt think so.
She also said that it would be more then likely several months before this assessment could occur. She has dealt with cases before.
it is expensive to place twin1 there, and so the delay will be a) funding, b) a vacancy in the place. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -

Ds is liking his apprenticeship, seems he is doing everything within the laws etc. His moped is finally back on the road so I will see even less of him now!. But i will save a lot of driving, unless the weather is just too bad for him to go on his moped.
The solicitor has said that there are people in the department that could help DD fill in another application for DLA. We will see what happens there.
after looking after DGD I fear that I would not qualify again for DLA, because although I am in constant pain, I still can do things, or I have adapted ways of doing things. So I no longer qualify!.
(If I was nt taking medication I probably would not be able to do any of the things I do do.).
:rolleyes:When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
I went to see my parents yesterday, to give them thier card and a token gift, as they are off to France to visit my sister for Christmas. My brother will also be in his place in France for Christmas.
I was overwhelmed, as they gave me £100 to buy more fuel for christmas, so I can buy another half load of logs and put £40 on the electric bill. I burst into tears! I shouldnt have to rely on my parents to help me out!. But thank goodness they have.
It means that we can purchase some extras for Christmas, with what I would have had to use on logs.
Iam at my BF;s at the moment, he is trying to insulate his windows with the film stuff. Think I will have to get some for myself, seeing as my landlord still hasnt got around to doing anything. I think its time to complain in writing and not telephone him.
Its strange not having DGD with me, but oh so nice!. Much as I do love her.
Back tomorrow. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Well good morning, DGD and i have been up for 3 hours already!. I am feeling as if its going to be a very long day. Her Mummy is ill, so we cannot go and see her today.
My parents have arrived safely at my sisters in France. My brother goes this weekend apparantly, but I have only seen him once in 3 years so its not going to make any difference to us really.
Took Twin2 back her washing, done, on the way to Oxford, and picked up another basket full, (6 loads worth) on the way back. So today its Washday blues! here.
DGD has a bit of a cold, so I am trying to keep her from wiping her nose on the furniture and her sleeves!! Toddlers!!
Had a relaxing weekend at BF's. Went shopping with him, and spent £9.60 on bits. Including my hair dye. I just need to do something about my appearance as I feel really scruffy, and tired. Havent been able to have my hair cut since the early summer I think it was!. But at leastI can do my roots!.
Time now to call the Social Services, and see if they have anything updated. If not its update the letter that I was trying to compile and then get it in the post.
DS still hasnt been home since Thursday. Called again last night to say he was a bit tired, and was staying at his mates in Towcester. Seems to be at this one particular friends flat more and more. Still reckons he has not had much pay, and still not giving me any housekeeping. As he reckons if he is not here why should he pay. So it looks like I will have to re look at my budget and see if I can make cuts, again!. And if he is here I will charge him on a daily basis! See if that works. But I am really worried about cutting down on the electric and wood. Thank goodness my parents have given me a help there!.
I am trying to be positive and not start the week on a downer, so I will get on now, see what I can achieve. (Apart from the washing!).When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Oh Mooloo things just don't get any better for you. I would tell in no uncertain terms that if he does not pay you something then he does not have a room with you as you will be renting it out. Sorry it sounds harsh but he must know what you have been through.0
-
He is just a usual 16 year old. Live in thier own world.Unfortunately. He did offer to move into the dining room, so that I can have Twin1 and DGD in there. So he is not all bad.!
I think I am just so worried about money at the moment. I should be hiding that sort of thing from the children but these days I just cant hide things anymore. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0
