Chipstick, Which ever falls first her Birthday or Xmas, get her some Bose Noise cancelling earphones, pricey but worth every penny for blocking unwanted noise.
Your thread has entertained me so much I would happily chip in for the gift, so you can enjoy what comes naturally.

My son admitted to me a couple of years ago (he was 17) that if he ever suspected that me and OH were 'doing it' in the bedroom during the day, he would take his little sister (aged 11) out into the garden and offer to play football or some other game with her.

And I thought he was being the devoted brother :rotfl::rotfl:

They tend to be designed to cancel transport hum, like on aircraft - they aren't that good for high frequencies - so better hope mum ain't too shrill or squeaky.....

A friend of mine has these for work because she can hear a lot of background noise from the workshop right outside the office.

She shares the office with three others, and they all get on well. They went out for Chinese food one lunchtime, came back and Friend put on her headphones. A while later she let out an involuntary bottom burp, but because of the headphones had no idea if it was loud or not and didn't dare turn around in case they all knew it was her.

Children do need to realise that parental sex is normal, but they don't need to hear or see it. QUOTE]

I find this very worrying. Young adults are as suseptible to your signals and demenor towards the more adult things in life as younger children are when they are growing up. Making sex a taboo makes children want to try it, Im not saying go for it like a banshee but its a part of life, a very important part and if you hide it then the child can sometimes develop all sorts of problems to do with sexual identity.
Im only 23 and when I was younger I had plenty of oppertunities to have sex, my parents were open and fair about everything. When I was 15 I had my first bf stay over, they were completely normal and cool about it and nothing happened between me and him (it so could have :p but i was empowered and educated enough to know it wasnt the right time) and have been ever since...then there was that time i found my mums vibe at 17...anywho
Im 23 (sucessful and undamaged!) now and all of my friends will admit that i am the person they come to when they have a problem with sex because Im so well educated and cool about it. Sexual confidence is also something I think has made my love-life alot easier.
I think I have my parents to thank for that on the whole. Sex and relationships are some of the most important experienences of you life and you owe it to your children to give them the best possible education in it as you can by providing a healthy model.

Just my penneth worth. Good on you chipstik, but have you thought about maybe trying to get your daughter to read some literature about safe sex? It might make her less embarressed about the whole thing. I imagine she will have done/will be doing sex ed shortly.

Perhaps I'll tell her that he likes to pretend he's the woodcutter in the story of Little Red Riding Hood. That might work.

Why, has he got a big chopper ;)
