Taye, not meaning to derail thread - but I for one would LOVE a full update about "Dave" I really miss your dating thread. Please.......
Me too (only if your happy too ofcourse)
I miss reading your thread. So glad yous have worked it out in the end, he seems amazing :T
Atleast you know you kids like him already and if im right your youngest wanted him to be your boyfriend???
Keep us updated
oh and if you have a problem, just go over to his. The kids will probably more than happy to keep themselves occupied in his games room/living room (which again remembering from before - they loved)
Good luck hun, hope everything works out well.

I think perhaps Taye could do with some peace to explore this one without the constant analysis and pressure of a crowd of onlookers and opinions. I'm glad it has proved to have some positives. Some things need to be said behind closed doors - especially the woodcutter guys antics... :rotfl:
Ha ha thanks guys i'm greatful you all care, but yes somethings need to be explored without a crowed of on-lookers.
I will say that things are going well, He is proving to be a challenge as we know Dave is somewhat like an excitable puppy with a credit card, i have him on a tight leash... but most of the time i just have to hang on and hope for the best. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Things are going really well, don't go rushing out to buy hats yet... but we are starting to plan for the long haul so concider that a good sign. :T
Ok back on topic, how the hell can i get laid without looking like a total tart to my kids because seriously 8 years is a LONG TIME!!!???!!
The only oppertunity for us to get close is at daves house, due to me sharing a room with my sons at my house (and im NOT going down that route) and at daves house i don't have the excuse of lack of space, so my eldest is going to KNOW whats going on or is going to think he knows whats going on... even if in reality all that's going on is abit of a cuddle because his mum is a big fat scaredy cat and still hasn't managed a snog yet.

Most of the parents of people on this thread seemed to have packed the kids off to sunday school for 3 hours on a sunday....0 -
Maybe practice with some toys when you have the house to yourself, then you will be like an engine all raring to go!!!We all deserve the SAME respect regardless of however many posts you have to your name0

Taye I'm very happy for you and Dave, at least you have got around the problem of his keeness (word?!) and are now well experienced at reigning him in!
As for your main point, I'd just do what someone else suggested, go to his, let the kids play games, spend some alone time with him and take it from there, perhaps push something infront of the door if he doesn't have a lock to avoid any awkward situations!
If anything ends up needing explaining, just explain that you and dave are boyfriend girlfriend now and things are different, but I'm sure one of the mothers will be able to find a more eloquent way for you to say that!

Got one of those! .. i used to be a proffesional pole dancer a LONG time ago!!! (did i just admit that out loud??) i still use it for exercise.
Though i grant i have not yet felt brave enough to show it to dave... my kids like it though my 7 year old can climb to to the top.... haha.... he is going to be so scarred when he's older and realises what it's for.
And NO it hasn't healed up!! at least i don't think it has thought admitedly it's hard to tell as it hasn't been used in such a long time. This months aim :- Stick to food Budget / find £100 for my car insuranceMay GC :- £250/£234.55 :T:A:TJune GC :- £150/£127.37:eek:0 -
Oh I so want that pole, I looked into it at Christmas but I don't think it would be that sturdy, I mean come on I want to be able to swing round it, a bit worried I would end up on the floor if I tried that! Anyone actually got one of them?Avon Rep

Don't buy one of the cheap poles you can get in argo's and the like as they are NOT designed to hold your body weight.
I have an X-pole which is used by proffesional dancers, it's £160 but worth the investment if your serious about learning, i've taught lessions and it's the one i always used to reccomend to my students. It's pretty sturdy i've never known one to break or fall down, and can do some pretty advanced moves.
It just screw's up into the cealing using pressure to keep it there and no it doens't damage the cealing, it takes about 5 mins to put up and take down dead easy once you get the hang of it.
You can get the normal one and the gold coated, the gold is supposed to be better but i've used both and tbh there really isn't much difference not worth the extra cost in my opinion.
btw the irony is not lost, yes i can dance half naked infront of a room full of men but not give my boyfriend a snog! This months aim :- Stick to food Budget / find £100 for my car insuranceMay GC :- £250/£234.55 :T:A:TJune GC :- £150/£127.37:eek:0
