I got caught in the act with my oh, when my oldest dd was about 13y, She was grossed out by it, I was mortified by it, but we still saw the funny side to it. She got over it.

I remember when my youngest brother was born. I was 11 and disgusted that my 'rants were still doing the rude thing. Telling my friends was cringe worthy!!! I think I'm just about over it now!!!

Brilliant thread, haven't laughed so much in ages!

I too have heard my parents at the age of 14 and was totally mortified and even refused to talk to them (for about a day) and I didn't even tell them why! It's all natural and she should be happy you love each other and are not just slumped in front of the tv (or doing other things) but instead having a 'good' time!

I'm sure she will come around!

At 14 I was being woken up my dad screaming at my mum telling her he was going to kill us all and any sex was forced upon my mum.

My parents sepreated and my mum met my step dad and as wierd as it sounds the few times I did hear them I was relived that it was a happy moment.

So tell your daughter to pull her head out, be glad she has two loving parents who love each other and there is alot worse things you could be doing to wake her up.

God I feel like a prude !

I never walked in on my parents, overheard them discussing saucy things, or heard anything remotely sexual from their room.

Likewise, I have 3 kids and I would never have sex if I thought they would hear me. Luckily they all snore loudly, but if I cant hear them snoring or if I think one of them is still up, then sex is off the cards completely.

Even a naturally creaky floorboard is enough to put me off. I would be mortified if I thought my kids ever heard me !

Although I am pregnant so I must have found opportunities occassionally !

So I am in admiration of all of you who bonk quite freely !!

I will never change in my lifetime - it is just a complete no go area for me.
