This is so sad . I honestly think that not tackling this directly, but increasing the experession of love between you is important for DD. After all, what is love if your husband can't twirl you around in public? Seriously: she needs, with love and no aggression and possibly not even mentioning it, to come to terms with this.

this thread has had me in hysterics!

i remember walking in on my mum and dad one saturday morning when I was about your daughters age. walked straight back out. nothing was mentioned about it although I was embaressed I knew it was natural.

I was more embaressed when we were all at a comedy night and it was a show of hands if your partner still gave you a bj. dad decided to stand on his chair both hands in the air in answer to that q. That was mortifying especially when he then turned round and asked my oh why he didnt have his hand up!

Just leave your daughter alone, if she wants something she will have to get over her embaresment and ask. dont stop having fun just because she is being a teenagers.

i caught my parents loads of times when i was younger, they reckon i had a built in radar, i got over it eventually but the worse time had to be when i walked in and caught my stepmother giving my father a handjob in the middle of the afternoon:eek: not a pretty sight i can tell you:o

After reading 9 pages I have entirely forgotten how I stumbled upon this thread, ultimately I have created this account purely to give one reply!

I'm 18 years old and live with my mother and stepfather, if it wasn't clear about their sex life from the jokes...then the fact that I have two brothers 16 years younger than me would be enough proof!

Since the age of 15/16 my parents have stepped up the jokes and innuendos after it became evident that I...also have some fun .

I seriously can't understand your daughter, you should by no means feel guilty - you have done nothing wrong! The toys thing is quite funny, but I came across a "toy" when searching for Christmas presents a few years back The idea that you shouldn't be able to have fun in your own space is nuts. She'll come around, and in a few years (as another member mentioned) she will cringe at her behavior.
