After last week earning an extra £300 in various ways, yesterday I got my payslip, the first one after getting my P45 in, and they have taken an extra £80 odd off me in tax - this after I got £68.80 tax rebate last week!!!!
Why give it in one hand to take it from the other???
I've also had to pay £150 on glasses & I'd put the £68.80 on my CC right away so I'm actually down (bought a payg mobile yesterday but getting home to find the payslip)Sorry to hear that, do you know why it was taken? Are you on the right tax code??

With a bit of luck we MIGHT be able to manage a meat & veg only shop next week, buit unlikely:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
Just found out that my pay date for my new job is the 18th of every month and not the 28th as I first thought. As i signed on for the last time on Thursday I now have no money coming in until the 18th of May. The bank and credit card companies are going to have a field day with the bank charges and late payments0

you know that c@ck up I made in February and paid my ex employer over £100 instead of my credit card - and subsequently found out that they had gone into recivership?
Well I waited the fortnight as asked by the receivers (who had written to the director to confirm that I didn't owe the company any money and their bank to confirm that the money had been credited to their account) and asked them to phone me with an update. As yet they've not replied - so I guess they haven't got any news for me - and I guess I'm going to have to realistically write off that money.
In addition to that Barclays haven't paid me the £100 I was waiting for for opening an account as their definition of two cosecutive months is certainly not mine so it looks like I'm going to have to wait another 28 days for it!!!2014 Target;
