Manager never mentioned it, said it was not fair at all, she was aware of it not being suitable could not even add bolt ons or change tariff when as the advisor had placed me on hold "IT" confirmed option are "already" removed the bolt on's "in preperation for 1st June" - that call was 30 mins ago....the advisor did not have a clue why system options were removed until she called "IT", & found out about these changes for "current" customers. Manager confirmed all this "& hopefully you wont have to use your PAC come 1st June".

    As 3, o2 have implemented this extremely well....NOT !

This is not my contract its a pro-bono favour for a friend of a friend, who left 3 as loss of 3LH they were going to future use 3LH & for most part India care, contract was only 3 months old PAC'd to o2 & is and now is leaving o2, they are stressed with it & come 1st June if o2 is not shaping up they are following my advice & going to Voda for 30 days ( they have holiday to Southern France & Italy in June ) giving 30 days notice on day 2 & researching before, during and after holiday what network suits needs & will get a PAC from Voda couple of days before 30 days notice is up if the best deal is not to stay with Voda or move to contract with Voda.
SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe ;)

Seems to be perfectly good reason to terminate the contract. If they won't allow it, challenge it in court.

i do agree o2 couldve given more notice. in fact wasnt it an o2 member of staff yesterday that told the forum about it.
o2 werent planning on pro-actively telling any customers about it, it seems.
i can see it upsetting a fair amount of customers.

i have a friend with an iphone tariff and she says she gets 500 texts a month, soon if she needs more texts she wont be able to get anymore and would have to pay 10 or 12p a message. i dont think changing a tariff would help in her case as i think the higher iphone tariffs still come with the same amount of texts.

maybe o2 are planning some tariff revisions too.

But you can no longer add or change them to the bolt on's being discontinued, which given the to be "discontinued" 30 days bolt on's are flexible to add or change on your current over the remaining period of contract is a "disadvantage" to yourself.

I just got a issued a PAC code for a NEW contract started on 25th May on these grounds which can be used or "wait & see if the new 1st July changes are worth staying"

If your contract only started on 25th May then you haven't cancelled under any breach of T's and C's, you've cancelled under your 14 day cancellation??

Considering for £20 you get 30 days notice ( can be given on day 1 ), 600 mins & unlimited texts & a free mobile, Europe roaming for the month ( holidays ? ) & £40 quidco and this option gives you 30 days to research your future options...& you can test customer services - thats a short term deal no other network comes close too. 1st July options the manager spoke of to me may have you PAC'ing back to o2 ! - who knows ?

I'll post a picture tomorrow of my FREE mobile when I get to work/time, no camera here for the moment.

    Regards,

can you point me in the direction of this offer please?

Ok Im confused! Can the OP clarify something, as he works for O2?

I took up a new contract today from the win back team who offered me unlimited 02 calls and mobile web for 18 months. Will these be cancelled off my contract or will I get these for 18 months as they were taken out before they dropped the free web bolt on?

what a shame, I always thought o2 hit the mark with their bolt on scheme! much more flexibility,
I want to change my unlimited o2-o2 bolt on buuuuttt.... I'm on a £35 plan (discounted by £5pm) so I;m meant to get one bolt on, I originally took the unlimited o2-o2, when I got a blackberry (not through upgrade just got one) I asked to change the bolt on to the blackberry plan, when my latest bill came through I noticed for the same price I've got the blackberry plan AND the unlimited o2-o2

If I ring to change my unlimited o2-o2 don't want them to notice that I'm not entitled to the extra bolt on and cancel it...
    Yes Your Dukeiness :D

    Hi - I'm a she :)

But anyway, no your bolt on's will be safe as they are an integral part of your contract that you are NOT paying for i.e. a retention deal.

To clarify, anyone who currently pays for a chargeable bolt on WILL be able to keep it for the length of their contract.
