my hubby also had a book arrive from mango, i phoned them up and said he didnt apply for anything like it. They sent a prepaid label out, so he sent it back, but made sure he got COP.
Now the only thing my hubby does is cashbag and he swears he didnt sign up with any bookclub, he steers away from them, i think it came from those competitions to get 25p everytime.0 -

My daughter also received the book from Mango.
I'd love to find out the exact source.
Please see my posting at the bottom of Page 3 of this thread - that "may" give you an idea - although I admit I do not recall signing up......What should I put in here that won't upset people.........0 -
Hiya Bryspatio
You said you were going to check if they credit checked you. Did they?
I've sent for my snail mail report for 2 quid. It should arrive tomorrow.
Mango don't have my real name, so I'd be surprised if they impacted my credit file. But they might have damaged the creditworthiness of the 'associated person' at the same address. I'll let y'all know when it comes.
To Megan and others. I wouldn't send the book back, nor would I phone their 0870 automated money making machine. To hell with them. PrimeQ was where they got my details too, but if there was any glimmer of entering a book club agreement on that free ticket promo, then it was well concealed. I will check that too.0 -
Do you mean this site?

where's the win tickets primeq page?
Why not start sending complaints to watchdog, you&yours (radio 4) and trading standards. There seems to be a lot of you getting books unordered coupled with demands for payment. Just think about all of those who do end up paying, it won't stop unless lots of you start sending in compliants of your experiences.0 -
I have also recently received a book from Mango. I called their offices and a gentleman said he would send me a return label. Still waiting. One thing I did note was that the parcel did not state Mr, Mrs, Miss or any other title. But the name on the parcel is actually my e-mail address. Obviously without the @anymail.com. If I was to sign up for anything I certainly would not use a nickname. I will take note of the e-mail addresses you folks have supplied and if I don't get that return label will send tham a mail. Having said that since it has now been a week with no word, think I can say that ain't sending one. Will keep you posted.0

You have attempted to return it or asked for assistance in returning it. If they say they are sending a label and you don't receive it, then keep it.
You or anyone else here didn't ask for the book in the first place nor the hassle, so why give yourself more hassle?
From what I have read on the forums, it is a try on and some people are paying and getting involved/committed to the club when they do.
I am also expecting a label too. I doubt it will arrive either, so they can whistle for their junk and I ain't paying a penny! An average day in my life:hello: :mad: :coffee::coffee::coffee::T:rotfl: :rotfl:
