I know I can't be around for paperwrk all the time so the very first thing my solicitor did was a power of attorney with regard to the property transaction., so she can sign for me. selfish not to IMHO.

I know this isn't the correct place to really ask, but as you lot are all sellers.....

I'm a FTB using the government ownhome scheme, so need to move fast to secure funding. I've seen a place for £150 that looks ideal, but I can't go above £140k. Worth looking, or am I just wasting peoples time?

Allways worth looking tek-monkey, and if you like it offering, you never know, has it been on the market long, and is it priced competively?
However make sure you tell them you will be using this scheme, as they can take a lot longer than a straight forward sale.
    Pawpurrs x ;)

Cheers for that. Its only been on a few days, but is an odd one. Its the same as a few others in the area, but been extended. Its also about £20k more than similar ones without the extension, but it just seems nicer! Will give them a call on my lunch break, ta :)

Thanks pawpurrs. It just seems that is only the cheaper properties which are selling at the moment

Everything that's price correctly, however much it is, seems to be going under offer round our way, except ours! Obviously, we're still in cloud cuckoo land with regards to price.

This is the same as our situation very frustrating. We dropped our price to be cheaper than the other (comparitive) houses yesterday so fingers crossed it works. If this doesnt work ive run out of ideas.

  • Can I join in? My single girl house went on the market yesterday. My husband was just over there sorting something out and someone was taking a look from the outside with details in hand. Hopefully that's a positive sign.

I've priced realistically so am hoping it won't be hanging around too long.

Fingers crossed for me and everyone on here.

Good luck to all hoping to exchange tomorrow , cant imagine ever being in that position  Good luck to anyone with viewings this week , all has gone quiet for me these last few weeks , no viewings at all. I have got my daughters 2 dogs till next Sunday as well as my own 2 , maybe that will tempt a viewer or two while my house is upsidedown and smells like a kennel

Well I was right , got a viewer at 7.30 tomorrow :j Will be spending all evening cleaning like a maniac !
Hope all the exchanges go ahead for everyone today icon7.gif

lol Its typical isnt it Karen!
mon1o - my friend suggested the same! There are people doing just that on facebook! They started a group to make sure they had enough people interested in buying tickets and will sell them when they get to a minimum ammount of followers!
