A bit of advice for Pawpurrs, calmspirit and Davesnave.
When you have exchanged contracts today/tomorrow. STOP reading the thread from Welshwoofs (that thread has got me on the edge of my seat) about vendor pulling out after exchange, it won't do you any good at all, even though it is compulsive reading at the moment. I hope it all goes well for you (and Welshwoofs). Cheers0 -
I know Cindie, too late its allready been read!
Luckily its very rare still to have this happen, but knowing my luck and all:rolleyes:Pawpurrs x0 -

I tried to post earlier but it didnt post. There is a hiccup now at the bottom of the chain, so not sure if we will be exchanging today after all!
What completion date are you thinking of Calmspirit? Have you put the deposit down on your rental?Pawpurrs x0 -

Nope. Solicitor was 'just going to' deal with my exchange when I rang, so expected she'd ring me back in ten minutes. That was two hours ago.
Don't be concerned for me though. There's always another fish in the sea, and I really did stop worrying about all this stuff a long time ago. What will be, will be.
(DW wouldn't agree with the last para!;))0 -
waiting for them to agree a completion date...ASAP as far as I am concerned as I did put a deposit on rented house (expecting to lose it-but this was the lesser of 2 evils....long story!)
I have alcohol waiting... looks like tomorrow for meYNWA JFT96 :A0 -
i normally lurk on here getting advice from reading posts but just want to say hope you all get your exchange sorted today or tomorrow. How i hate waiting for that phone to ring to say it's been done. We were in the same boat last Wednesday and with the vendors solicitors running on slow (losing paperwork and sitting on their bums for 2 weeks not looking for it), we had to put a bit of pressure on as our buyer and solicitor were going away at the end of the week. It was either last Thursday or things may have to be discussed. We exchanged last Thursday.:D.But got 3 1/2 weeks till completion. We have let the vendors decide on completion date as in no huge rush to be in and they have been of ill health recently. Our buyers are buying to let and happy to wait too.
I can't help but read WW thread x0 -
So have not posted for a wee while. Have sacked my rubbish estate agent and have decided to go with Savills. Although a bit pricey, am very impressed with the service so far. Waiting for the photographer to come and hope to be on line in the next couple of weeks. All of the posts I have read on here seem to be regarding houses cheaper then 200k. Has anyone had any viewings on houses at a higher value or any success at houses at 300k plus or should I just give up before I start?Smile though your bank is breaking:)0
