oh no pawpurrs. fingers crossed they dont pull out. Buyers seem to have so much power. It annoys me that we instructed a solicitor in good faith and it will cost is, despite us being the most accomodating vendors you could wish for and the abortion of sale being nothing to do with us.
i have found out new info now on why my buyer dropped us after the 5 viewings. They did a drive by one evening and didnt like the area. ???? It's not like the nice quiet area becomes a drugs den / red light zone or anything come an evening.
I am guessing some children were daring to play outside nicely!!0 -
Nowt as queer as folks toots. God knows why she is behaving so badly, my EA said that she had all the power as shes the buyer, I replied by saying thats no excuse, and I dont respond well to threats, it would be better if we could all work together to come to an amicable solution, she may be a buyer buts shes not god, she either wants the house or she doesnt, I have never behaved like that in a sale transaction, its her thats moving the goalposts not me. I will see what I can do, but she knew the score when she offered, and its her soliceter not mine thats held up any paperwork.
Hopefully it will all be sorted tomorrow, and we can exchange soon.Pawpurrs x0 -
yeah!!! true to form - house is a tip and someone wants to view in the morning.
does anyone else have trouble getting their estate agents to show the property???
everytime I'm not available - the estate agents say that their far too busy ??
i mean, I know that I want the house sold, - but they dont really do much for their fees do they?0 -

I'm very sorry to read this, pawpurrs. Hopefully the silly woman will stop taking her stress out on you, if whatever has set her off can be overcome. Buying is almost as stressful as selling, but it's no excuse for bad behaviour. People do seem to find it hard to commit themselves to something in this market.
If it's any consolation, I don't feel particularly powerful as a buyer. Our vendors' solicitor has been very combative, even hinting that we might be gazumped if we don't behave. However, they're the ones with the faulty deeds. If people in the past have accepted badly written and incomplete paperwork, it doesn't mean we're going to. Despite the bluster, the errors/problems we were 'naughty' enough to point out have been fixed, so exchange is imminent.
Fingers crossed for you. I can see you are staying calm & businesss like, which is the best way to deal with these traumas that seem to beset every other sale nowadays.0 -
good luck with sorting it pawpurrs...
babyharry..my agent said the other day 'if only we had a key....' they've had one since the day we put it on the market but not used it once!!!
i still ended up doing the viewing
anyways...afetr spending all day waiting for an offer from last nights second viewing and discussing with the agent whether to cancel my four pm today, nothin
so did 4pm...turned out to be a lady from the playground that i kinda knew..and she said lets be real tell me what you really want for it..so i told her....20 minutes later i had a full and final offer for what i wanted!!!
WOOHOOO!!!!!!!
apologies for typos been to pub with hubs this evening to celebrate...got no where to go but camping on the playign field seems an option...lmao

well I am going demented today, am set to move out in 2 weeks, still can't get final issues resolved with my purchase to let me move in! unmortgeable until my title deeds get resolved and feeling like a cow for mailing estate agent, buyer and solicitor asking them all to get their fingers out.. cos if it isnt mortagable for me, it isn't for anyone!
So stressed. Have somewhere to live during the week but will be throwing myself on mercy of parents/ mates/ total strangers with washing machines at weekends.
Gah Why can't the world be efficient? So much chasing and nagging to do! Anyone wanna sell me a house in the midlands?? Going to have to start looking at other houses next week.Debt free 4th April 2007.
New house. Bigger mortgage. MFWB after I have my buffer cash in place.0
