We now have nice photos that do the house justice and the descriptions are being polished up a bit as well.
EA has worked out the footage and done a floor plan as well.
If I forget we want to sell maybe that will do the trick.
Best of luck to all of you in the same boat."This site is addictive!"

Thanks Pawpurrs and rumandcoke. Am a bit better about things today and feel relieved she has pulled out as God knows what else she may have requested. She didnt ask for money off and didnt give a chance to put things right so I feel glad she has wasted her money! Just wonder how much our solicitors will charge us for the work they have done so far??
Hope other peoples solicitors get their things sorted out soon.Cross Stitch Challenge Member ?Number 2013 challenge = to complete rest of millenium sampler.0 -
Well my solicitor had had the Draft contract for over 2 weeks but only raised queries with it yesterday, So now have to wait for other solicitor to amend and return to him then I assume my solicitor will do nothing for another 2 weeks before getting his finger out.
As this is the first move we are doing since we had our baby we thought we would plan ahead and not wait till the last minute to pack, we now have half our possesions in boxes and have no Idea how much longer it will be until we can book a mover and get on.Making money online in 2009 to date earnt:

Finally exchanged at 3.30 this afternoon:j. When I spoke to buyer she was so relieved. Apparantly her buyers solicitor is on holiday & the other solicitor in the firm was not in the office either this morning. It has had to be sorted out by their other office several miles away. Can't believe how unprofessional they have been.
At least now once we complete on Monday & the money hits our bank account I can finally sort out finances & reduce the mortgage on this house.
I wish everyone all the best in what must be the most stressful thing we can put ourselves through.0 -

hi all
just returned from holiday and the ea has shown someone round whilst we were away ( house was a complete tip as we left in the early hours of the morning!)
we have been on 2 1/2 months now - 6 viewings.
the guys who looked round last week made an offer ( -80k )
house we wanted has now been sold anyway - so happy to hold out for a bit more!0 -
Been a while since I last posted, so here's an update...
We are sold (for the second time) and had an offer accepted (after upping it) on House 'A'. It was then down to the vendors to find a property, which seemed to take an age. Eventually the EA advised that they had offered on a property (twice) and still their offer was declined. Our buyer needed to complete by Sept due to schooling requirements, and in our mind we felt we need to do something otherwise risk loosing them.
We started looking at other houses on the market (including those at the very top end of our budget). All of a sudden house 'B' came on to the market. We viewed (twice) and then made an offer which was rejected - upped the offer which was accepted. Removed the offer on house 'A' and notified the mortgage company (house 'B' is more money), our solicitor and our buyer.
House 'A' and 'B' are with the same EA
At the moment we are pending surveys on house 'B' which should be instigated at the end of the week and planning for a completion date sometime during the week of 24th Aug. The vendor of house 'B' is prepared to go renting to meet the timescales (this came at a slight premium).

Had a phone call from EA yesterday for a viewing today!! WOOHOO!!! She did say she had told them we would take an offer - we are on at £139,950 after dropping from original price of £152,000 (and valuations were £155 - £160 at the time). They came round, seemed v interested, and just put an offer in of £120,000. Im a bit gutted as the lowest we were looking at taking was £130,000 - we bought at the top end of the boom,so need enough to have a deposit on a next property. I told EA we cant accept £120, but will see what we can drop to. Pleased we got an offer, but it makes not alot of difference if we cant afford to take it!0

£129 is the lowest we can go - got mort of £100, need £25 for deposit, and that leaves us £4 for fees etc. Just rung EA and told em we can take £129, but I doubt we will hear anything else. Oh well at least someone liked the house!!!!0
