Senora so sorry to hear that, I hope it all gets sorted soon. Shygirl, sorry too.
Well things are moving very slowly here, still not recieved any queries, although apparently they have been sent to my sol, so should be any day now.
We had some good news on Friday, we won the unfair dismissal case against DH former employer, I represented him against their soliceter who was useless, we shall have to see if they stump up now! And DH has a telephone interview today.
    Pawpurrs x ;)

Excellent news about the tribunal, pawpurrs. You were very brave representing DH, but of course solicitors cost, and they're not always better. Indeed, I'm sitting here this morning going through all the paperwork, raising all kinds of questions and thinking, 'Hang on, what am I paying them for?'

Well some good news here. We put the house on the market at beginning of June, had two viewers both look round together, one of whom made an offer and said they would complete in 28 days. They had sold and were in rented, we had already moved into rented, so was as short a 'chain' as you can get! Luckily all went well and we exchanged yesterday, complete on Friday.
And we can start househunting now :-)

So everyone who is struggling to sell, take heart, it can and does go well sometimes. (And we did go through the SSTC/buyers pulling out scenario when it was on the market last year, so I do know what you are going through)

    Good luck to everyone.

So sorry tohear your news Senora and you too pink.
Crossing fingers for you Pawpurrs, things are looking up for you both.
We are having our survey done tomorrow and are getting worried even though we know things are in good repair and have been serviced regulary, daft really. I have packed a few boxes as our chain is virtually none existant (cash buyer and people we are buying off going into rented) but now I keep reading things on here and it's making me nervous! i have only packed books and things so nothing I need to get back out if all falls through. think i may stay off here for a few days until I know she is happy with survey. Here comes the stress!

fingers crossed for all those who are finally getting things in place.

I had no second offer on mine, and have no viewings lined up at present so enjoying leaving the housework undone! lol:rotfl:

see house prices dropped in June...happy days :p

House went on market a week ago, we had a viewer on Friday who really liked it and they put an offer in on Monday (a bit shocked that things happened so quick) ... I said £5K more and I'll accept it. In the meantime saw a house last night that is lovely, and really, really want it, so called the EA this morning to see what was happening only to be told that our viewer was OK about upping their offer but they had not had a firm offer on their place yet :(

The survey was done on our house today. It took 1 1/2 hours which was for a buyer's report. Have asked our buyer to let us know when she's read it so I can stop worrying about her pulling out. It's silly because like your place Thrifty ours is well maintained so any faults should be trivial.

We also had an offer accepted on another house so we can change all our paperwork now. Our new House To Be is owned by someone that already has another house to go to so again there will be no hold up. The vendor is fairly elderly though and is having a cateract operation in 2 weeks so that might delay things a little but I'm OK with that.

Our survey took an hour and a half too shirlgirl. He told my husband there was no damp as we knew already and a couple of other things so I dont think she will have course to complain.
Saw a packing kit in home bargains today for £2,99 one of those tape guns things if anyone needs one. I have borrowed one from work or i would have bought one.
We find out about report by Saturday so should know by next week if she is happy then we can instruct our bank to do our survey but house is quite new so shouldn't be too many faults i hope. Packed 3 more boxes last night. Am going to send them to mother in laws as my house is startting to feel cramped!
