Hi all, hope everyone is well, congrats to all those with positive news.
I am still waiting to exchange on my sale. I took the gamble and moved out to rented accom so that the kids could start school, so that's all happened over the weekend. I'm just so frustrated that there is no news on when we'll exchange on ours, and we could well be going back on the market...don't even know if I can face all that again, but at least the house will be empty. One positive news is that the house I offered on and 'lost' in Jan (seller took off market) is back, so we're buying that now! Hoping to push that through fast, as I'm buying that independent of my own sale (no money coming from this one anyway).
I just wish we could exchange and complete on my sale soon so that it's over and done with. Wish me luck as always :S

Youv'e just summarised our situation too ! Fallen in love with a place (only started viewing after initial interest in our current place) & am waiting to hear back from a second viewing on Monday. I'm tearing my hair out at the moment: chain free buyers who on second viewing asked if I, not EAs, could be there. So, seemingly quite encouraging. I showed them around Mon 5PM, and no contact from them since then ! It's so frustrating"Science is a wonderful thing if one does not have to earn one's living at it" Einstein 19510 -

Good luck from me! It was a big decision to move into rented, but fingers crossed it will be worth it because it will take that little bit of pressure off you worrying about unsettling the kids. I really really hope for you that the sale doesn't fall through!0 -
Emilia it sounds like a good deal, though it may also be another way for hte toher EA to keep any eye on you seen as you want purchase one of their properties but maybe i am getting too cynical...:rotfl:
Jw that's good news, fingers crossed...
Sods law, Chyna but at least it's not been dark, it's been like the end of the world is nigh these last few mornings!
Az, big decision but maybe with the house coming back on imaybe t's a sign things were meant to be and at least you'll only be in rented for a certain period of time and there's an end to it....0 -

Is anyone else as impatient as I am? I showed the viewers around on Monday late PM & they haven't been in contact with the EA since. I'm trying to remain optimistic that they're thinking about it carefully, but in reality I suppose that they would have contacted the EAs before now wouldn't they?
WHat's everyone's opinions - if you liked a house, would you leave it a day & a half to feedback?
ETA: they finally made contact with the EAs to say "no"Apparantly, it took them 2 viewings to decide that one of the bedrooms was too small!

i always think the same as you Grimbal, if they really liked it they would have said. but there have been cases of the opposite happening. never loose hope until they actually say No. we are still keeping our fingers crossed for a viewer from 3 weeks ago who according the the estate agents has our house on a shortlist of 5/6 and is trying to decide. i have been trying my hardest to send physic messages to them to buy it, but its not worked yet

In this market, I think people can get away with it, and are well aware of this fact. I had the same when I was trying to sell. It's the single biggest purchase you will make, so best make sure you get it right!
In a sellers market, you snooze you lose.
There will always be people who love a hosue and absolutely have to have it. But obviously the viewer you're on about isn't one of them.Set your goals high, and don't stop till you get there.
