  • Pink i went to view a house that was being sold because the husband had left the wife and i hated every single minute of it. She was so negative and didn't talk to my partner and kept making remarks about her husband doing the plastering 3 days before he left, etc i couldn't wait to get out of there and the feeling of the sadness and anger really got to me, i totally wrote the house off.... i told the estate agent that i didn't like the feel of the house!

    Do what pawpurrs said!!

Thanks for that pawpurrs and sunshine

I do wonder if my house just isn't homely enough, i've never felt like it was a real home more a sort of stopgap (we bought it just before the prices rushed up ten years ago, after spending the ten years before that in Negative equity). We've tried to decorate it in recent years to be very neutral with a view to selling it and wonder if we have just gone a bit too far with that.

It's also been the site of some very emotionally charged events in the past which is one of the reasons we want to move, clean slate and all that. Maybe that comes across....

was totally peed off yesterday and was ready to take it off the market and forget it for a few years until youngest is in secondary school so we can forget having to stay in catchment, but today i feel a bit more relaxed and will wait and see....

The first dozen I did i was all 'oh they were lovely people', now i think they're all *!/*f&*....

cant be helping with promoting the house when i have an attitude before they even get here!
    lmao
with my first 3 viewings , I was full of the joys of spring - telling them all the details and how wonderful views were etc etc
now - i'm " this is the lounge , this is the conservatory, this is the kitchen, this is the bedroom - goodbye" etc etc!!

  • Hi all,

Well we put our offer on the house we saw last week house on for 175k offered 165k they turned it down went in at 167,500 which was agreed only for someone to come in and offer the asking price 24hrs later :( so thats 2 houses in 2 weeks that we have lost!!

Our buyers had the survey done last which has all come back fine along with the valuation. They are still ok with us not having found anywhere but i do feel the pressure is on.

Im Really sorry to read your sale has fallen through calmspirit i really hope you get a sale soon.
