Still know viewings, we don't hear anything from the original ea, at least the second one gives us a call and the other day as we were walking past he came out to have a chat. But alas no viewings. I am still looking at houses to buy and have seen some I like, I have a question, there is one house in particular that is great, it is a repossessed house and is a bit over our budget, is it possible to offer less on repossessed houses or are they a fixed price by the banks.0

No offer what you like
Thank you to all posters0 -
Got a viewing! But... it sounds like they'll also be viewing a 2 bed around the corner which is on for 20k less than my 3 bed. Which makes me wonder a bit whether the agent said "well you might as well pop into this one while you're in the area - it can't hurt". If I can keep the place clean and tidy between now and then though I guess it's not so bad.
Another house I like has gone SSTC this morning.

wow two updates in two days.
Firstly NEH, nah we stay up in Aberdeenshire, I just put the scotland bit in , incase anyone replied with region specific information.
Anyway onto the update: :j
Our viewers who came up from Birmingham , have noted an interest AND booked a wood survey for tomorrow! SQUEEEE. ( wood survey is fairly standard up here in a house well over 100 years old)
waiting to hear back from the sellers of the property we want as to when the closing date will be set for, as we are interested, But im trying to delay them for as long as possible.
looks like we might be cutting things tight but I have all my fingers and toes and other appendages crossed hoping we have found our buyers.......
so yesterday was a down day and today things are looking brighter
TO BE CONTINUED.......0 -

Oh god i am so so sorry, I remember you, big house in Aberdeenshire.....
Don't know why, my brain wasn't switched on this morning-sorry...
We have just posted our contract so the house in September is ours and the removal company have relented and said they can do the move now so at least that's a roof over our heads :j
Just wish we didn't have ot rent the flat we are selling...
Landlord has another intrested party in thsis palce so got to do some hoovering tomorrow so the guy can coem on Saturday. At least we don't have to make too much effort as it isn't our house....
Though our neighbours put their house up for sale last night so there are 4 houses for sale more or less next door to each other. People are going to be asking questions now....Can't see 4 interested parties wanting houses 4/5 doors up from the pub from hell....0 -
We've pretty much decorated every room, just minor things to do in each. OH replaced the avocado suite (:D) in the bathroom with a nice white suite, re-tiled and painted - just the bath panel to go on. Skirting boards in bedroom still to paint. Kitchen yet to tackle but EA's said not to bother too much. We will paint the walls and are going to paint the cupboards (googled it and seems a good idea instead of buying new doors). Carpets to go down still and lino in the bathroom and kitchen and thats it! Phew - Oh, front door needs stripping and re-painting.
I've repainted the kitchen - well most of it, I can't move the washing machine or oven so it'll have to stay as it is behind there!- and the hallway and landing, including the ceiling. Forgotten what hard work ceiling were, or maybe it was just easier when I was younger!
Chiaroscuro, we rang up to ask what dates they were available earlier this week and they told us then that they were free on these two dates, it was only when we confirmed and that they put in the diary that they realised they have made a mistake...We're going to push for them to deliver on the Saturday for no extra charge if they can. Also like you our kitchen needs modernising but we're giving in and replacing the doors and drawer fronts is that something you could consider?
The EA rang today and said our first viewer had said he liked ours but was looking at a lot of properties. Sounds a bit like an excuse to me, but you never know.
For some reason I'm feeling a lot more positive about things this week. Could be down to hormones, but I think it's helped that the EA has been in touch twice without prompting in the last week and also I've realised I was being impatient. We're not under any pressure to move, and also the place we did have an eye of has sold SSTC now so I think that's taken the urgency out of wanting a buyer. There are other places I've seen online but I'm going to view anywhere else until we've got an offer.0 -

all you stuck in a chain of no news, just a thought but your estate agents are the only people wh can actually talk to all sides. maybe a big kick up their bum (or a polite phone call) may get you a litle news as to what the delays are.
Still waiting for a buyer or a veiwer or anything on mine. Raining here now as well *sigh*
Little willie owners the lot of ‘em!I suppose we could - if the EA's think it could go on straight away then I don't see why not (although photo's can't go up as every room still needs finalising). Wow - we could be 'up for sale' by the end of the week! :Tmonkeys_bunny wrote: »i think the EA's email rightmove then its up to Rightmove to get it done (as far as i know, maybe wrong)m so more on Rightmoves head that one.
but pat on back of EA's (for once) for doing their job lo0 -

I emailed them earlier to check what was going on and they apparently hadn't realised that it hadn't updated 8-) They're going to chase it up now apparently. I'll yell at them tomorrow if it hasn't changed.
On a more positive note I now have 2 viewings booked in - including an FTB who saw the ad in the paper!0
