I would be happy to just have a viewing, I am constantly tidying up and saying to myself just in case, but still nothing. Ideally I need to move before my son starts school in January, he has a few problems, so anything to disruptive like changing schools once he is settled in a school here could set him back alot, and he is doing so well. please let us have a viewing soon.

This was my first viewing in over a month and it was only because I had dropped the price this week. I'd effectively given up on cleaning over that time so I've had to really blitz the place since I heard I had a viewing. I kind of wish that I had been tidying!
I hope someone comes to see yours soon. I'm a teacher so I know the pressures imposed by term times. You've got a little longer than me though - I start a new job half way across the country in September! Good luck :)

I do feel like giving up cleaning, as soon as I do it the kids undo it.

Good luck with the viewer NyimaR, I hope he gets back to you makes an offer, and I hope you get a viewer soon Lauhen.

I have a viewer coming at 6pm, a couple with a baby - but their house is not on the market yet, its being valued next week apparently. Part of me wanted to be childish and say "well come back once its up for sale", but with so few people viewing I'd be stupid to put them off.

    Fingers crossed.:)

IMHO you wouldn't be childish at all if these people are not proceedable. They may of course be able to buy yours without having sold theirs, but your EA should know if that is the case?

Yay we exchanged on our house sale today :j so much relief in this house.
    But ........
we haven't yet exchanged on the house we are buying, it's rather complicated but we decided that our sale is far more important to us than our purchase and that we would not risk anything going wrong with our sale. So we are due to complete on 27 Aug which gives us a few weeks to get the final stuff sorted on our purchase. But if it all goes wrong we will just rent for a while. Either that or a tent in my friends garden

Hey peeps, went away for a few days to the seaside with the family...needed to get away from it all. Trying to catch up on posts - Lovely to see new people on the thread, welcome all; and some good news - NEH, well done on finding a place, and Kittie, congrats on exchanging. Not-loaded I almost choked on my drink reading this post of yours:

Little willie owners the lot of ‘em!

So much so that I had to explain to DH why I was in hysterics!! :rotfl: I guess if you don't laugh you have to cry?!

News from my end...we have today signed our part of the contract for our house sale and handed it to solicitor. EA is hopeful we can exchange next week, with discussion of a completion date to follow soon after.

Still not counting my chickens, but heart did skip a beat at seeing the contract.....nearly nearly there!

Good luck to everyone for some more positive news with viewings/offers/exchanges/completions etc over the weekend.

This is what I hope to do (If I get an offer). I just don't know what I'm going to do with my large collection of pot plants in the interim (they won't take kindly to a storage container!)

I'm sorry to hear your chain is going belly up not-loaded. I hope the FTBs pick up the pace a bit!

Just has viewing number 3. He was 15 mins late and looked around for 5 mins. Said he was going to see a couple of others and he'd let me know tomorrow. Doesn't feel like he deserved the hours of cleaning we did this morning!
But, he's an FTB with a 'large deposit' so I'm not going to be anything but lovely now in case it's bad Karma!
:D I feel your pain! Our EA gave us 4 hours notice for our first viewing - if it wasn't for the fact I was so desperate for one I'd have asked for more time, especially as it was a work day and I had to rush home and get the place ready as I hadn't tidied up.

Good luck to everyone else - here's hoping for some good viewers for all of us still waiting - and congratulations to those who have exchanged. :)
