No, seriously, we will all have good days and bad days, and some will be crappy (I've had my fair share as many have) but at least we've got each other to support, and it's great to hear when people do have good news on selling their houses....

Well I had a wasted morning tidying the house and waiting for a viewer at 11 who didn't show. When the EA spoke to her she said she thought it was for 1pm. I had stuff I needed to do this afternoon so told them to rearrange for Friday as I have another viewing then and may as well do two back to back than waste an afternoon waiting in for someone who couldn't remember what time their viewing was! (EA had it down for 11 too)
Only thing is the other viewer on Friday turns out to be a lady I know and I'm not sure whether she is just being nosey. The EA said this lady had sold but I don't think she has. Of course I will let her view but I hate tyre kickers and I think in these times when we are desperate to sell and can't help but get hopeful about every viewing, tyre kickers feel like a waste of time to me!

We never know when to ‘stand down’ if it’s a no-show. I always have a horrible feeling I’ll be halfway through slaughtering a sheep in the scullery when the doorbell will go.

If she’s local she’ll have a SOLD or SSTC sign up? We’ve had a sure feeling of tyre kickers many times, but of course that’s after they turn up. They often say ‘nothing to sell’ or ‘under offer’ to the agent to get the viewing. Ain’t they got a telly?

it can`t be doom and gloom. Our dd is about to exchange on her house and cannot find a house for love nor money so there are not enough houses out there for the people who want to buy

Well I can certainly say there is a shortage of rental propeties...

We took this one last year as there wasn't really any 3 beds out there....

We've looking to move again, forced upon us by the unruly drunks and a few issues with the house and there is nothing suitable on the rental market at all within a 90 odd mile radius...

I know if we rented the flat we're selling it would only just cover the bills so I think that's why there is nothing our there, it's just not worth it ...

Hi everyone, i have posted a couple of times on this thread. I had a fairly easy time of selling my house and things had been progressing nicely (although it was quite slow). Last thursday we were due to exchange the next day, then all of a sudden at around 3pm we got a phone call to say it had all halted as the first time buyers at the bottom of the chain had pulled out. They had a new job and needed to move to another part of the country.

So over the last few days the whole thing has slowly unravelled, ending today with the property we were going to buy having been snapped up by someone else and ours is now back on the market (although our buyers still want our house but they are in no position to proceed)

On the bright side I have had fish and chips for tea, followed by far too much chocolate. It's helped to cheer me up :rotfl:

Good luck to everyone else on this thread, I hope to eventually post a sucess story on here.

Oh no little lil, that's a terrible story! Giving me shivers because we are just at the start of this bit. We have sold to a FTB and had an offer accepted. Our vendors are looking for somewhere now.

I really hope your buyers get a new punter soon and you find an even better house.

Not_Loaded - I really hope slaughtering a sheep in the scullery is something you do on a regular basis and not a reaction to the viewer not turning up! :rotfl:
I generally leave it an hour and then phone the EA. I don't know in this instance if it was a !!!!-up of the EA or the viewer couldn't be bothered but I knew I wasn't going to wait in all afternoon after having done that all morning!
If it was the viewer who couldn't be bothered then I hope their next 3 viewers do the same to them!
I get the feeling the lady on Friday is just being nosey but just in case...
I don't think my house is for her though even if she is genuine as she is very particular and there is a lot of work needing doing to this house and I doubt she would want to do it.
