I am getting a bit fed up tbh. Spoken to our sol this morning and she spoke to buyers sols yesterday and they are still waiting to hear back from the buyer. We have no date for exchange/completion and its now 6 weeks after we agreed to the sale. Am I being impatient?

Good Luck Charliestwins, personally I wouldnt play the game like that, but each to their own. If I want a house I dont play games. You must be prepared to lose it, what if someone who is straight down the line offers in the meantime, and what about holding your chain up? That doesnt mean that you go over what you are prepared to pay at the end of the day, the vendor will have a figure they are prepared to accept and you one your willing to pay.

Hi pawpurrs, i dont want to play "this" game either and tbh im being guided my Ma. I would love to make an offer they except it and then we can get on with the paperwork, equally i want to get it for the cheapest price i can too lol

Regardless of what happens tho we are happy to go into rented to keep the sale going on ours. Infact i already have a place lined up - its next door to my parents, its been empty for a while due to being over priced but the vendor has said we can stay there on a week by week basis :)

Any more progress with yours ?

Why is your MA doing the negociating? I would ring the EA myself and lay my cards on the table. If your MA keeps going up then up then up, the vendors will wonder where he will stop. In the meantime, as Pawpurrs says, someone else may come along who is upfront and not playing games.

    Not legally you can't. ;)

Hi Jenny, my MA said it comes better from them as they cant slip them up as easily as they could us about our budget. I thought this was common practice as we offered via our MA on our last house ?

The house we could rent is a very good friend of ours so not too worried ;)

What are the buyers solicitor waiting for from your buyer. Also what is your EA doing as they can speak to the buyer and the two solicitors but the two solicitors will perhaps only speak to each other and their respective clients?

Havent a clue Chickmug. I havent spoken to our EA as she is off until tomorrow. Have left a message for her to ring us back. I think they are waiting for her to agree the fixtures and fittings but not 100%. I know her solicitor from doing work experience with him many years ago and I hope he has changed because he was the most disorganised person I have ever met. Always loosing something and blaming everyone else.

Well I hope tomorrow you can get your agent to have a good dig around to get right up to date for you. Most important that you end the day, tomorrow, feeling a lot more reassured than you are at the moment:confused:

I hope too chickmug. For someone who wanted a quick exchange and complete it aint half dragging on and she doesnt even have a mortgage to buy as she is a cash buyer.

    Frustrating
Not being kept in the picture by your professionals.
Those who want it done quick but who drag it out.
    People are a bloody nuisence.
Get a doll (your buyer) and stick pins in it:eek:

SCW1 we feel your pain!!! nothing worse then putting all the time in to be let down by things outside of your control!!!

Jenny - good luck with the offer! I would also be jubious about playing it like that, if your MA is telling them it is your top limit and your going back and back with more money each time does not make you look honest. I would suggest if you like the house and really want it come up with your best offer (not just money but your postion and express your commitment to a quick and effective sale) All our offers have always been done through the estate agent and not the MA
