    Thanks will look into it...

Our solcitors are pants but we're stuck with them unless we can find another wad of cash for marketing costs..

Well we've had a chat with reltives who are going to take us in should the worst come to the worst, it will be very difficult for all parties concerned but sometimesyou have to do these things when times are tough and this blinking recession has hit us very hard....
  • i do hope it all picks up for you soon NEH and the sun starts to shine on you.

Here's a success story - you just need to keep at it and don't give up if you want to move!
House went on market July 2007, eventually sold August 2009, after 3 failed attempts to go through!
Went into rented house whilst looking.
Exchanged contracts on 8th April 2010, become homeowners again on 23rd April 2010!
It's taken a while but we've moved, me my wife two cats and four kids, just over 200 miles into the house that we want!
Good luck and keep at it the rest of you!

Good grief!!! From July 2007 to August 2009. Obviously I don't know your circumstances, but surely there was a huge swing in property values between 2007 & 2009. Are you saying you had to keep dropping the price to get a sale?

@ NEH. What's cash & solicitors got to do with anything, if you are still at the selling stage?

We live in Scottieland and Solicitors sell houses here. We would have to pay again to have it advertised in the Solicitors Property Centre (one big website/shop that covers all solicitors properties in that area) for our area...
  • ahh i see. sorry didnt realise you lived in Scotland. it is very diffrent there but i suppose it has the added benifit of not being able to be Gazumpt.

i am trying to sell it myself as well as using the Estate Agents with it on free property sites like Tepilo, The property channel SKY 216, its own facebook group and t shirts etc but do think we need estate agents unfortunatly especially in our little sleepy town.

family houses are just static at the moment in Bridlington and thats what mine is. Grrr

Well you're doing all you can then - something will happen soon !
