Got our first viewer coming around today after being on the market for a week. Also just had another call from the EA with another viewing booked for Friday!
Just having a quick 5 minutes before cracking on some more with the house work!0 -
The viewers from a week ago are looking at other places and "thinking about" ours but have not sold theirs yet.
Phone rang this morning and we have a viewing from someone else tomorrow at 2p.m. - no idea if they are in a position to buy or what.
Fingers crossed but I have got really cynical."This site is addictive!"
Wooligan 2 squares for smoky - 3 squares for HTA
Preemie hats - 2.0 -
My viewers from Friday - 1st set - lounge too small.
Second set, very interested but concerned if they can fit their '2 large vehicles' on the drive / garage.
On the plus side the only other properties that come up in my locality at less than £230K are bungalows.0 -

Thought the viewing went well but no feedback yet from them so seems I was wrong.goldengirl28 wrote: »when was the viewing, was it saturday.........sorry losing track of days, have your rung EA, i find when i do viewings, the EA can wait ages before they chase me for feedbackNo it was Tuesday night - maybe i am too eager to hear what they said
The estate agent cannot get hold of the viewers and they wont ring back. I dont see why you would be like that as its good to get feedback good or bad.0 -

thats a shame, have you got any more viewings lined up this week?
My update;
EA rung earlier, my buyer was in the office with his electrical survey report and the feedback was that approx 900 pounds of work needs doing. They want us to either pay or knock it off the asking price.
I've asked to see the report and show it to our electrician friend before we decide what to do................i'll keep you posted2010 challenges

We're waiting for the aunts and uncles next
Well, apparently 1 set of parents was, in fact, mother and stepfather. This time it will be father and stepmother - got to keep everyone happy, I suppose.
So if anyone sees me wandering round the streets tomorrow night you'll know why.0 -
Arggh, this thread makes me so jealous! All you sellers talking about extensive cleaning, decluttering, fresh coffee etc. I'll tell you what I had to put up with in the properties I've seen so far as a buyer:
- extensive condensation and mildew round windows not even attempted to be disguised/cleaned
- cracked tiles all over the bathroom/kitchen
- tenants sitting in their pants smoking cigarettes whilst I was viewing
- tenants sleeping in their beds while I was viewing
- overflowing ashtrays in rooms including the bathroom!
- more mildew and limescale than I have ever seen in a bathroom
- ovens and hobs that havent been cleaned for what looks like a year or two
- broken windows
- some of the most disgusting toilets I've ever seen
- empty condom wrappers on the floor
- two bed flats I thought were too small for me on my own with 2 couples plus one child, plus one parent
- extremely "generous" read outright lying marketing material. 10 foot by 10 foot room my backside - could barely fit the length of a single bed in it! (if I was lucky enough to get room measurments let alone photos before a viewing!)
Oh the list goes on! I had to learn to look past all this and see the space, but it came as a huge shock when I first started looking. I'm buying in London and it seems that people think they can offload any old !!!!! It's no wonder the average time I spent viewing a flat was about 2 minutes - half of them I couldnt wait to get out of!0 -
