I have accepted offer on my house by FTB and all seems to be going ok (they have had survey & mortgage offer). Have some problems on my purchase (survey suggests probs and vendor (& his EA) not forthcoming with info/discussion to renegotiate). May look elsewhere.
However my buyers keep asking to re-visit property. So far they have been 4 times, and want to come again. Problem is, because they work they want come in the evenings/weekends, and ask that I am not present (according to my EA "they are a young couple and a bit embarassed"). Problem is that I work as well in very stressful job and look forward to my evenings/weekends to relax, but in order to not lose sale feel I have to accommodate them and go out. So far they have viewed the house twice with the EA, then with 1 set of parents & EA, then with the other set of parents & EA.
Want to move as parking round here is driving me mad, and really need bungalow due to ongoing back problems, but feel v. fed up at the moment.

    Hi all

Just been catching up on the pages I've missed - been offline as I've been really poorly in bed since the middle of last week :( Starting to feel a bit better now but it's no fun trying to get family to help when you have two young children to look after but can't!!

Anyway, lots going on here - viewings seem to be on the up??

Millie - your new viewings sound promising - fingers crossed!

RobEd - I agree your house looks good - agree about colour for the garden esp with the weather starting to turn.

Philippa - hope your FTB doesn't say 'it's too big' lol!

goldengirl - elec check does sound a nightmare - no idea about these things but it worries me slightly as my house was a 1999 newbuild so would imagine regs changed a bit since then too!?

hello to the newbies - tabskitten - you are just like me, I too was v impatient for my first viewing once on Righmove - it's like you expect the phone to start ringing immediately lol!

mrsspoons - congrats on the buyer, sorry to hear about your purchase, hope there is something better just round the corner for you! FTB deals can fall through as well so what's to say their 'new' buyer will proceed?

Well, at my end my buyer still seems keen, has been financially 'qualified' by my EA, and has given her sols details over. Bit concerned as it's become apparent she needs a large LTV mortgage and I'm worried lender's surveyor may undervalue on what she's offered but we'll have to wait and see I guess!? I think the asking price is fair based on recent values and post 2006 values too and they are offering just short of that so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. We have now taken the place off the market (and cancelled some viewings this week, mainly because they weren't proceedable) which does worry me a little just in case things go pear shaped but the EA recommended that course for now.

Our viewing yesterday went very well. A couple with a 9 month old baby who have moved here from Turkey. The husband is turkish but the wife is a local and knows the area well, talking about the local schools. She loved the house and all the space.

Fingers crossed - we could have 2 offers on the table :j :j :j

Hello to all newbies - here's hoping your phone doesn't stop with lots of good viewings by lovely people!
Lots of luck to everyone else that your sale moves quickly and stressfree and you find your perfect house.

  • morning all,

another week of great weather planned, hopefully this will entice out the buyers

funnily enought my sister said, this is the buying season as the buyers can all be in for summer..............don't know if thats right, but it does feel quiet positive at the minute.

good luck every one with viewings this week, feedback from viewings over the weekend and all those trying to progress "stressfree" offers (thats me :) )

Hopefully all this inconvenience will be worth it in the end !!! Medal for patience and being kicked out of your own 'home' !!!!

How strange they want to keep coming to view, can understand they must be v.excited but if I were in their shoes would be worried you would view me as a pain in the backside !!!! more so than being embarrassed !!!
