Welcome Barnsleygal I am afraid the EA is right, in that they did introduce the buyer, unless you can prove it was your idea to them, to buy your house, if it was the EA idea and they booked the viewing, then its shaky ground. But wouldnt that be an easy sale! Think on the bright side.
Welcome Dragon lady, that all sounds positive.
CD Hope its just settling in stress, and that you will feel settled soon.
Thifty Heres to some viewings soon.
Becks Congratulations, hope it goes through smoothly for you.
moneysaving... Hang in there, it only takes one! That call could come tomorrow! or today!
Senora Thanks, I had a nice day out yesterday, not had any feedback yet about the people who viewed yesterday, for some stupid reason, I had convinced myself they would offer straight away, goodness knows why!
The people who want it are still trying to get the money together, should be another few weeks, we shall see.Pawpurrs x0 -
Sorry havent been on for a while and thank you to all the congratulations on my new niece:D Ive been having lots of cuddles, its been lovely. I never thought i would ever not feel broody but its nice being able to hand them back and go home :rotfl:
Anyway, our buyers have now come back from holiday so expecting the survey to be booked in how long should i wait before i chase it up ( sold 2 weeks ago but they have been on holl for 1 week in the middle)
Ive looked at a few houses nothing really jumping out at me but 1 does have a lot of positives and it does have potential but it is over priced imo. On at 175k been on since july 08 with only 1 price drop of 10k in feb 09 and had no offers. Owners brought it in 2001 for 96k and have only done internal re decoration and flooring. I would only consider it for around 155k what do you think ?
Will catch up properly tonight as ive got to go to fat club ... sorry i mean weight watchers:rotfl::rotfl:

Hi Charlie,
If they did the application before they went on holiday, then I would be expecting to hear any day now, unless they are getting a mortgage with the likes of Abbey, that do all the underwriting before instructing the mortgage valuation.Pawpurrs x0 -
Quick update from me. Not had much time recently to get on here. Now been on market 3 weeks. Had 3 very positive viewings, but no offers yet.
1st viewing - loved house & location, came back for 2nd viewing but in the end decided on a smaller 3 bedroom as she downsizing & didn't really want 4 bedrooms.
2nd viewing - again very positive & trying 2 decide between 2 houses. Apparantly according to EA there are a few issues with the other 1! Doing 2nd viewing Saturday.
3rd viewing - saw ours last Saturday, they had not sold but liked the look of it. However they have now sold & doing another viewing on Saturday as well.
So fingers crossed for next Monday as both viewings are late on Sat afternoon.
Can't believe that all 3 that have viewed so far will have come back for a 2nd look.0 -
Thats all very positive rumncoke, some offers at the weekend then hopefully!Pawpurrs x0

barnsleygal wrote: »We have now decided that, yes we like it and could see ourselves living there so I contacted the EA. The vendor wants to view our property first before we get down to figures but (here is my query) the EA then threw into the conversation that if this went ahead then they would bill us their fee (£2200) as they class themselves as finding our buyer!
Which EA claims to have introduced you, your EA or the vendor's?
If the vendor's EA is suggesting that you owe them money then, frankly, they can sing for it as you have no contract with them and no obligation to pay them a penny. You could point out that all they have done is enabled their client's sale to go ahead.
If it's your EA, you may have an obligation, dependent upon the contract that you have with them but you need to check that out for yourself..What goes around - comes around0 -
And so another weekend is nearly upon us, no viewings booked in here at the moment, new agent coming out tomorrow to do the details.
Hows everyone else fareing?Pawpurrs x0 -
Hi,
No news here... except that our EA says they have people very interested in our house but haven't sold theirs yet.I love giving home made gifts, which one of my children would you like?:A
